It was very quiet when we were there and the only bar/restaurant in walking distance was open just the once. Fine for us, but be prepared.

We stayed as a family, it was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the nature and with great hosts. The pool and trampoline was really nice, especially the trampoline for our daughter. Our accommodation was nicely decorated, clean and ideal for our stay. The owners made the stay very special and memorable, we enjoyed eating warm figs straight from the trees in their orchard. They also went out of their way to help us as we did not have a car. If you are looking for a beautiful, friendly and peaceful place to relax in the Portuguese countryside then this is definitely the spot.
Offering large business facilities, the Alojamento do Zezere features modern and cheerful accommodation 16 km from Tomar and less than 10 km from Castelo de Bode Dam.
We were staying nearby in January, house hunting. The town would have been much livelier in the holiday season! However there was a very good restaurant, not smart but super food, A Grelha do Zezere, which I would recommend. The reason people come here is for the nearby lake which is a centre for water sports. Also for the wonderful mountain setting.

We loved the location and the staff. The food was excellent and they were very accommodating with our requirements.
Only the deodorant perfumes in the bedroom that were overwhelming spoilt our stay. Perhaps some people like it but we found it overwhelming.

The town itself isn't great but the region has beautiful spots for a retreat in nature - hikes, mountain bike paths, plenty of lake/river beaches. There's not a lot of restaurants in the region but all those we tried serve amazing food.

As for the hotel definitely a NO, NO! Very Poor hygiene standards on bed rooms, swimming pool and adjacent area. Very pleasant staff apart from being under staffed.
All other places visited were ok, within expectations and some even above expectations. Restaurants with good cuisine and nice people.

It is a little peace of heaven.
It is a little peace of heaven. The water has the right temperature. The views are incredible wherever you look. You can swim, ride a water scooter, sup and ride your car up the hills to explore the area. We ate in Café do Lago, the staff was very nice. They had a few food choices at great prices. The Café also had a wonderful views to the Blue Lake. We stayed in the Estalagem do Lago Azul (blue lake inn). Wow! A room with a view, we swam in the lake and in the pool. Ate a spectacular breakfast there. We had dinner in Quinta do Adro, we loved it as well. This place is just great.

The studio apartment was in perfect condition when we arrived and it had all the necessities for a pleasant getaway!!
Really well furnished. A simple but very cosy space. The pool was a nice extra in the package.
Location is also great, being close to the center of Ferreira do Zêzere (4 min.) and rather close to "Praia do Lago Azul" and Tomar (15 min.).
The staff was very friendly and had prepared a very detailed guide of the region (restaurants, activities, sightseeing, ...).
An amazing place to stay with a great location, near everything in the surrounding area of Ferreira do Zêzere.
The house is rustic, recovered with love and dedication, with all the accomodations needed for an excellent stay.
Paula and Vandelei will make you feel at home, with very good recommendations of places to visit in the area. I'm already missing our great conversations.

Very beautiful location with plenty to do around. Very cozy hotel. Needed extra bed for our 15 year old and it was for free in a seperate place by the entrance which gave as more space to move arround. Great game room(all for free at the basement- snooker, pimpong…) Very nice breakfast. The bar area is so nice with lots of sofas to read or to have a drink with beautiful view arround.
Very good value for money and lovely people. A beautiful unspoilt location. The food was delicious. The hotel has a 1990s feel about and because of covid was fairly quiet but the staff were efficient at cleaning the tables after use and everything was spotless. Good breakfast with excellent coffee.
Everything from the house, the surroundings, the garden, the view from the house. Its a really peaceful and private location. Ferreira do Zezere (the vilage) is very close by, around 6 mins by car. There are also plenty of supermarkets close by.
Amazing location, a very good hotel, with good breakfast and dinner food. I got a mountain/garden view room, and I could still see the river and the surroundings. A perfect place for a super relaxing long weekend.
