The room and the staff were great. It was clean and generally really well maintained. The communal areas were comfortable and plenty of sofas could be found. Great place located directly on the Camino. We slept well is our well appointed room.

First of all, great hosts. Very hospitable and helpful. The house is very large and fully equipped. The house has two terraces, there is also a parking space. We had a great time there. I recommend!. I cordially greet the wonderful hosts.

All the good restaurants are outside Esponsende - mainly in Apulia. A nice little hike or short taxi ride. Bridge to Fao needs some TLC, at least if you walk over it. Fantastic views, but the rusty bits on the footpath high above the water are somewhat anxiety-inducing (and I even heard that from experienced Camino walkers ...) Would not walk over a second time ...

Esposende was one of the best places to stay that we have had on this trip for the Camino de Santiago. The people that run the hotel are wonderful and very friendly. Everything is very clean and they have a great lounge with a good kitchen to make what you want. I would recommend them and their rooms to anyone going to that area.

We thought everybody had left town.
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings.
Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.

We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.

Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal

Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
Nice apartment with two big double rooms, good size kitchen and dining area/ living room and a nice balcony. Outside has a fantastic and large swimming pool. 10min walk to beach, 20 minute walk into Esposende Town (and if don't want to walk Uber was less than 5 euros) and 45 minute drive into Porto.
I had a sciatic nerve attack on the last day of the stay and Paulo (the host) was fantastic coming over to help help my family going above and beyond to ensure they were OK and had all they needed whilst I got treated in hospital.
If you like to be treated on a personal level than this is the place to stay. Very friendly and attentive young lady running the hotel. Modest from the outside but very nice and modern from the inside. Business is based on family values and "Grandma" is still present, making sure the guests get the best value for money. Opposite the hotel there is a restaurant with an excellent cuisine offering fresh fish and meat from the grill. Beach is within 3min walking distance. Small Supermarket 2 min.
Decent sized room, clean and tidy with a comfy bed. The shower/bathroom facilities were very new so really clean and in perfect working order. There was a well equip kitchen with a coffee machine for anyone requiring that. A nice bonus was the delightful sunny garden/terrace at the rear with tables and chairs. It's a bit of a walk to the centre of Esposende but then again it's not advertised as being in the town!
Warm greeting at reception with useful information provided to us in English. Plenty of space in our apartment with a well equipped kitchen and large supermarket around the corner. Able to make a home cooked dinner after many nights of quick fix meals. Large dining/lounge area and our room also had it's own outdoor space to relax in overlooking a large garden.
I booked a hotel by mistake from Thursday to Friday
And when I called to ask for some solution of this problem, the hotel said that there is nothing they could do, as they have already charged full price!
But they even haven’t called me yesterday when I haven’t arrived because I planned to do it today
Worst experience
We really enjoyed our stay in Esposende. We enjoyed the garden which is an extension of the studio. Sunbeds + table to have breakfast and dinner.
Fresh eggs every morning from the chickens.
Lovely host Ricardo and his wife Paola.
Really good beds! And nice that our dog was welcome!
Easy pleasant, friendly check in , really lovely staff very clean comfortable room .
If walking the Camino a very good place to stop as it is probably the first place to stop once over the bridge into Esposende and offers a good breakfast and a quiet comfortable nights sleep.
A really cool hotel with great ambience. The rooms are clean and fresh. There is a very well equipped kitchen if you want to self-cater rather than eat out. Very close to the seafront on a quiet residential street.
A lovely lady who welcomed us to her home. A few meters away from the Camino trail, but easy enough to navigate. Clean and comfortable space, and near a grocery store.
The house was very nice. Close to the beach and not far from the main city center. The proprietors were friendly and very helpful. The location was quiet and peaceful.
stay here if you can. amazingly beautiful place, calm, breakfast is incredible, hosts some of the nicest we’ve met. one of the best boutique hotels ever.
