We stayed in the apartment with 2 friends which had a central entrance door and two additional doors into the two apartments so that you had your privacy. Both apartments are very roomy with good features such as a kitchenette and outside Terrace overlooking the sea.
Located within the walls of Óbidos, this boutique hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony overlooking the castle walls. It has a regional restaurant and a terrace bar.

We looked at all the hotels/accomadation available in Obidos, and established that the majority of the hotels didn't have car parking or even set down area to drop off our luggage. The car parking for all the hotels within to castled walled town was located outside the town walls, which meant that we would have to haul our luggage back & forth circa 150 metres up hills and along old cobbled stones roads/paths. This wasn't an option, and we were very concerned about the safety of our car because we established through reviews that numerous cars had been broken into outside the town walls. So we opted to stay in the Hotel Villa D'Obidos which had onsite parking, and was located 1.2km outside the town. We were presently surprised on our arrival to find a spacious Boutique hotel, the stall were extremely helpful, especially Innis who headed reception, and worked as a barmaid. The ensuite bedrooms were large with a large balcony which overlooked the country side, and a large swimming pool. On the negative side, I would be of the opinion that the road to the hotel istn's suitable for walkers, and it's advisable to ask the hotel to arrange for a taxi to bring you into town, which costs circa €6.00, and they can advise where to obtain a return taxi to the hotel. Although we were very fortunate because the taxi the hotel called was a driver called John Paul (Papa) No: 00351-917520420. He was extremely obliging to the point, he was finishing his day shift at 8pm, but told to call him anytime thereafter and he would come and collect us, which he did.
Situated in the charming medieval town of Óbidos, this graceful and recently-renovated 4-star hotel allows guests immediate experiences of Portugal's historic charm.
