Burgau is a small fishing village on the Algarve, about an hour from Faro airport.
It is quite unspoilt and has a great beach bar, several good restaurants and a couple of good bars.
The coastal walk from the village to Luz is amazing, and access to other places of interest easy by car.

Butgau is a quiet, friendly little village. Great beach good surfing, lots of restaurants and speaking English was never a problem. No noisy night life or bar scenes for those that like that. Could not find any bus day trips as you would get in a bigger centre. Lots of great walking trails along the cliffs above the ocean. Generally a great little village.

Burgau is a very quaint village that is gradually expanding. The beach is beautiful and a nice size, also very clean. The people of Burgau are friendly,helpful and warm hearted. There are various restaurants, supermarkets, tourist shops. The place we stayed at was walking distance to the beach in Burgau, baker,restaurants and other shops. It had a pool which was very clean, surrounded in a beautiful garden. We had a bbq and outdoor sitting area.

This is one of the best places we stayed on our trip to the Algarve region. The staff is outstanding. Try the evening meals they are fantastic; well presented and very delicious, served by a fabulous host. We are returning as soon as we can !

Everything was ready for our arrival, spotless and the hosts very careful and polite.
This is the right place in Burgau, also the location is very nice and quiet neighbourhood. My favourite stay in Algarve.

Burgau is a nice small Village, with enough shops and restaurants and the beach is calm enough to have a safe swim.
Its great to have everything you need in this village, so you don't need a car every day or night.
Nice and roomy apartment. Comfortable beds. Very good hot shower. Good facilities and extras (e.g. washing powder for washing machine). Good value for a 2 bedroom apartment. Pool looked good (but didn't use it as it was January). A short walk to the main streets of the town & to the beach. A local supermarket less that 100m away. Good communication with the owner. Good instructions and video provided to find and enter the property (important, as could not locate it using google maps - better locator on Booking).
I really enjoyed staying here! Everyone there is super sweet and accommodating...It was incredible to see the history of the house and what it looked like when they bought it and how everything has grown up around it. Loooove the character of the place, the quirkiness. Breakfast was great, I liked that everyone eats together, you can meet people and it feels sweet and communal...Location is amazing, right in the sweet little town, walkable to the beach, (also loaned us beach supplies, thanks!) short drive to Lagos...
The host was great, and always ready with tips and recommendations! The house is very well maintained and it was always clean. It also had all sorts of utensils in the kitchen. The beach is within walking distance and you will find a mini market nearby as well as different restaurants. I recommend renting a car so you can move around easily and go to the different places that are within 1h from Burgau.
Apartment was amazing, spotlessly clean, great location, fantastic owner. Everything you needed all in the apartment, plenty of sun loungers and outdoor seating in the back and front. Very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. Kids loved it. Burgau is a lovely peaceful and pretty spot to stay with easy access to Luz and Lagos too. Definitely recommended all round.
Unbeatable location in Burgau, 2 min walking distance to the beach. If you don't have a car, bus stop to Lagos is just around the corner. Quiet and relaxing house with a perfect distribution. Access to kitchen and roof top is a plus. Check in and check out was so easy and convenient. Room, bathroom and shared areas were spotless clean. I absolutely recommend Casa Boa Vista.
Building and apartment was modern, clean, comfortable, secure. Decorated nicely. Kitchen was fully equipped, double sinks in bath along with nice size shower. Balcony was enjoyable with table/chairs. Nice to have a washing machine as well. Great location and easily walkable to restaurants/beach. Property managers were very responsive and friendly.
Casa Sienna was absolutely perfect. Set a tiny bit out of the centre of Burgau it’s lovely and quiet, yet super close to super market and 5 mins from the beach . The pool is gorgeous and apartment extremely clean, spacious and comfortable.Loved it ! A Welcome bottle of wine and beers in the fridge when we arrived AND it had a coffee machine 😍

Burgau is a touristic village but still has kept it‘s authentic charme. The landscape of couloured sediment cliffs raising behind the beach is gorgeous. A perfect place to explore the western part of the algarve or simply to relax.
Room was good, beds comfy, bathroom lovely, location good and Burgau a nice little town with lovely beach, bars and restaurants. Communication was excellent. This area was generally expensive for accomodation, and Aloha offered a more affordable option on the hiking trail.
View is great looking over town and beach. Easy walking distance to anything in town. Breakfasts were marvelous and follow covid protocals diligently. Very clean property. Desk person(Joao) offered to come on his motorcycle to lead us to the hotel parking.
The property was a great location just up from the beach. The owner met us and showed us around the place to ensure we knew how to find everything. We found the apartment had everything we needed. We found the property to be extremely clean.
Apartment was beautiful. Coffee shop right around the corner. So was the best restaurant in town, so was the best tapas bar. Beach was small and inviting and allowed dogs, giving it a nice family type atmosphere.
Close to the beach, beachfront, spacious, chairs and tent for beach, a lot of cafe and few mini market minute walk from the Appartment. Really great kitchen with simply everything you would wish!!!
Clean,modern apartment with everything you need. From kitchen supplies,to beach accesories. It was really clean,location is a bit of center Burgau,but still just a few minutes walk. Poll is great.
