The Albergaria was lovely. Spacious rooms. I had the impression when booking that we had a big balcony so that all three of us could enjoy. Pictures on the website not that clear. However, these are only for the rooms with three beds and we booked two double rooms. One did have a small balcony. It was however a nice place to stay opposite the beach... all commodities close by.

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and the outdoor terrace with seating, sun loungers and outdoor pool is the perfect area to relax.
We visit Viana Do Castelo for family and Axis is in a great location to visit all the areas we need to which are all within walking distance.

The location in Afife was great, the little town has a couple of bars/cafes, a small supermarket, a train station and you can walk to the beach. The terrace was nice with a partial sea view. It was also a useful base for exploring up and down the coast and the Lima valley. Filipa, in reception, could not have been more helpful - replacing broken toaster and missing hairdryer and kitchen knives. The pool looked nice but it was very noisy, occupied by a family who rented several apartments, so we did not use.
Honestly one of the gems of Afife, amazing manor with a beautiful range of eclectic and very tastefully decorated rooms. Building itself has so much history, located almost in the centre of Afife, view of the surf from most of the property and 360 degree views from the top terrace of an already incredible place. My second stay here, Andréia and Fernando are fantastic also. One of my favourite places in portugal
Our second stay at this lovely accommodation in the wonderful village of Afife. We had a great room and and the daily breakfast provided was very enjoyable and varied. It was great to have access to swimming pool in the very hot temperatures - no air conditioning which would have been nice but it did not detract from our stay. We visited both local restaurants in Afife and food/service was great both times.
Afife is fantastic - the beaches, the wooded hills. There's a shop nearby, and it's easy to visit other places. The accommodation is nicely done up, lots of flowers, and the pool is great. Also, I appreciated that there was salt, pepper, oil, and even handwash or washing-up liquid. The owner even enquired after us during bad weather which I found nice. Oh, and a wonderful terrace shaded with vines.
Excellent location minutes from the main coast road in Afife.....some cobbled roads to drive to the villa. Modern very clean and spacious villa; all bedrooms en-suite, well equipped kitchen, cable TV and WiFi, lovely terrace with views to the surrounding hills. Secure and safe enclosed garden for car. Pool (regularly cleaned), BBQ area and decking. Excellent communication with the owner.
Carlos the host was very helpful. He drove us to the town of Afife to get groceries, and then again in the morning to catch a train. Very quiet location as it is away from the village and the highway. We had access to the kitchen to prepare our meals and shared them with other couples that were also staying that night.
The host was very kind and welcoming, and made sure there was enough heat in the house on a cold day. The quad room was very spacious with comfortable beds and great views. The house was clean and well equipped. If we were to return to Afife, we would definitely stay here again.
A superb location to stay, my family loved the spacious house and bedrooms along with a fabulous swimming pool with views of the beach. We will definitely return and enjoyed the relaxed nature of Afife, many thanks to both Andréia and Fernando who were fantastic to deal with.
Beautiful location in a quiet area in the lovely village of Afife. The courtyard was lovely and the swimming pool fantastic, especially as the sea was too dangerous to swim in. Nice, very clean apartment.
Warm welcome from the staff, the room we had was perfect for a family of four. We loved the breakfast, which included homemade jam. The hotel was very clean and felt luxurious.
