Great place to step away from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature a bit. Good food at the waipu cove pub, if a little pricey (the food is quite gourmet and the drink options were many)

Waipu is a gorgeous beach settlement. There are good facilities available e.g essential shops, cafes, the restaurant bar down at the cove is a great spot and the food and service was great even though they were extremely busy

A quite Town for a night or two night stay for a short weekend. Kids friendly pizza store and the waipu cave not too far but would recommend to have gumboots and Torch when visit with young kids.
Waipu fall is a eazy 10 mis return track but the parking space is limited.

New Years day markets & night Ceilidh (Scottish dance). Busy rural town. Lots happening. Great art gallery in the old firestation. Nice cafes. Shops all open on the weekend. Close to Whangarei & Langs/Waipu Cove etc.
Waipu has it's own museum - worth a look. Free parking in the town. Seems to be very dog friendly.

Very good local dairy, nice owners and excellent bar restaurant just across the road from the Accommodation. Lovely clean area.

Loved the choice of beaches Waipu Cove, Lang’s and Mangawhai. Waipu Cove didn’t have much choice for eateries and the pub filled to capacity so I couldn’t eat there and this wasn’t very good considering it was only 6pm!
Lisa & Anthony are lovely hosts! Their Waipu Cove home is beautiful and our room & bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Lots of windows so wonderful light & views of their property. Breakfast was delightful and conversation with fellow guests was enjoyable.
Love the black sheep, beautiful young cows and walking on their property.

Very impressed with our unit. Super clean, well equipped and spacious. Right beside the beautiful Waipu Cove beach. Everything we needed including coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo. Sunny during the day and very quiet and peaceful at night. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets pillows etc. Cannot fault our stay here, will definitely be back
The most idyllic place for our first few days in New Zealand. Wonderful hosts Lisa and Antony, a spotlessly clean, spacious, modern room and so many homemade treats for breakfast. This is the perfect place to stay if visiting the Waipu area, we would 100% stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to any other travellers.
Lovely big room in a beautiful home on a gorgeous sheep farm near Waipu Cove. The breakfast was delicious assembly of fruits w/ yogurt, warm croissants, fresh oj and even coffees to order. Super nice hosts- highly recommend this stay.
Was such an amazing place. Very very relaxing yet so close to the waipu and the beach! Had everything there you would need. Great for families with ample space and rope swings. Definitely will go back!
Very spacious tidy home with a great layout and space. Good bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Lovely Gardens in a rural setting. Easy walk or bike into Waipu town.
The location is right by the beach. The cafe opposite (Cove Cafe) is very nice for a cocktail and pizza. The walkway to the pancake rocks was literally 250m away.
