Very well presented and designed space for a lovely peaceful stay. Easy living and great TV movie options. A very restful street and a great 30 minute river walk right behind the house. Close to Whakatane centre and a nice flat area for morning walks. Highly recommended if your batteries need recharging!

The parking is excellent! Privacy of the area is exceptionally very good. All the living spaces are nice and large and very comfortable. I wish I gave myself another night as I know U would have enjoyed a nice quiet chin wag with Judy and Graham. Wonderful hosts 😊😊

It was nice to be close to the beach but for the price you pay it's not worth it, no milk tea or coffee, you have to take you own bedding and towels and for the price I could have got a motel or hotel close to the beach for a lot cheaper and wouldn't have had to pack bedding and towels etc.

not many restaurant options are in Thorton itself - you do need to travel to Whakatane. the room itself does have cooking facilities - so bring food with you as you can virtually just stay at Thorton the whole time if you are organised and prepared well enough.
