Modern, clean, well appointed and comfortable and the room was really dark once the drapes were drawn. This is a great feature for someone on night-shift who needs to sleep during the day.

Te Awamutu is a pretty town with easy access to the surrounding areas. Would recommend a stroll through the 'Walk of Fame' which was very interesting and informative about local people and history. Also the Rose Garden well worth visiting.

Te Awamutu is a country town but has most things there you need but not a Hospital. It has a beautiful rose garden you can walk around. The shops are okay not alot of variety. It is easy driving to Hamilton, Cambridge and Waitomo Caves so nice to stay out of big towns. It is a very friendly place and people helpful. Eating places are nice and plenty cafes. They had good oportunity shops if you are into second hand stuff.
Enjoyed the town. They had a fantastic library and swimming facilities that was built by raising money by the community itself. There is a bus service to Hamilton at a reasonable price and variable times. For seniors its free in the hours for Gold Card which is great.

My family and I attended a wedding, We went to the RSA for dinner. The food was awesome, staff and locals pleasant.
I had my hair done for the wedding at KBL & Hair. Very happy with the service and the young lady standard was at a very high level.
I was surprise by the quality of clothing shops, which I brought a dress at CBR.
The ceremony was held at the memorial gardens. Very beautiful gardens, worth a visit.

This was a great central base for exploring the Waikato.
This was a great central base for exploring the Waikato. Everything you need in one place and you can still get a park on the main road.
Take a look at the Waipa District Waikato Wars self tours to experience some of the history of the area and understand the significance they had on the history of Aotearoa New Zealand.

We picked Te Awamutu because most of that part of the country was full. We were coming up from New Plymouth, which was really nice, and wanted to go to both Kawhia, where there are little known Hot Water springs at Ocean Beach, and Raglan. This was the closest place we could find for 3 adults. We had a nice dinner at Redoubt Bar & Eatery. Wednesday has very nice $8 desserts too, which was a bonus!
Kawhia at low tide was very nice. Same kind of hot water beach as the one in the Coromandel, but very few people. Take a big shovel. The road from Kawhia up to Raglan is unsealed for about 10 km, but in very good condition.
Also, in Te Awamutu the Rose Garden was nice.
Fantastic, friendly, helpful host, super comfy and cosy caravan. We were nervous about it until the second we saw it. It's modern, high end, super clean, cleaner than many hotels we've stayed in. Warm and luxury everything, the bed was insanely comfy, I think that's why they have a late check out, because you're not getting out of it when you plan to!
Great little hotel room. We came in late, so they left a note that our room door was open and to come on in. That would never happen on the states but the beauty of New Zealand. We got a bit of a laugh out of that. Ours was a very short stay but the property had everything we could have needed.
We stayed in the middle of winter. The place was superb. Warm and dry with very good kitchen facilities. Steve, the host, was welcoming and helpful, even provided fresh baked bread and afghans. Eggs in the fridge. Short drive to Te Awamutu if you need anything. Highly recommended.
Beautifully decorated old school house in a peaceful location. The kitchen had lots of equipment to cook meals.. Loved the homemade bread and free range eggs. Beds were comfortable and warm. Easy drive to Kihikihi or Te Awamutu. Friendly host. Highly recommend.
Well located on the out skirts of Te Awamutu, this is an ideal quiet location that is at the back of the property. A very good size that allowed you to spread out, It was close to a supermarket and has a comfortable large king size bed. Excellent wifi.
The Old Schoolhouse is a charming B&B just outside of the town of Te Awamutu. The host, Steve, was extremely helpful before and during our visit. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast provisions of farm fresh eggs and freshly baked bread.
Couldn’t get accommodation in Hamilton due to all blacks game so chose to stay at park motor lodge in Te Awamutu. Would highly recommend and stay there again in a flash. Would certainly think twice about staying in Hamilton again
The room felt like a 5* hotel room. Large and comfortable with everything well laid out and easily accessible. Extra care and consideration had been taken in the little things like the towels.
Great Communication
Central Location to Te Awamutu.
Washer and Dryer options available
Clean kitchen and kitchen utensils
Towels and Pool Towels available
Clean comfortable bed
Everything was there. Restaurants near by, delivers for food detailed in folder. You couldn't fault a thing.
Highly recommended to anyone wanting the perfect home away from home.
