Loved the big bed and everything was clean and lovely. Our fiend stayed in a another from and theirs was great too.
Just a shame the local bar nearby had a band with riff raff (gang members) so walking back was a bit dodgy but we were ok. its Rotorua.
And nothing bad happened. So overall its really good. We will definitely come back

Rotorua is living proof of the magnificent, and sometimes mind-boggling, might of nature. Smoking hot springs, bubbling mud pools and fast-spouting geysers give the surrounding landscape an almost other-worldly feel.
This New Zealand city sits in the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the world’s newest geothermal hotspot. It was created after the 1886 eruption that covered Te Wairoa Buried Village, between 2 of many lakes gracing this fertile terrain. By Lake Rotorua’s shores is the luxurious Polynesian Spa with its thermal pools. Just behind in Government Gardens are the city’s best cultural offerings: the Arts Village, Tamaki Maori Village and Rotorua Museum, in an elegant former bath house.
Native animals roam in Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park below Mount Ngongotaha, accessible via the Skyline cable car. The views while ascending make it obvious why this is called the Bay of Plenty. Tikitere Thermal Park on the opposite side of the lake is known as Hell’s Gate, but as long as you can ignore the sulphuric smell, the spas are simply heavenly.
More springs are in Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, whose surrounding forest is popular for mountain biking, and Wai-O-Tapu where the Champagne Pool is a striking mix of green and orange.
Booking.com’s accommodation range is as diverse as the scenery, encompassing luxury hotels, cheap hostels and motels near Rotorua Airport.

We had a great time in Rotorua - the people were warm and friendly and the experiences great. We went to the Sky Line for an event and the food was amazing for the number of people they were catering for.
Went to the Fat Dog for Breakfast and coffee. Blueberry Muffins outstanding. Fabulous atmosphere and amazing staff. I could not speak more highly of the cafe match anything in New Zealand.
Rotorua was great to get around. Just wish we had time to stay longer.

I did not get to see too much as was their on a conference. The town was dodgy and I did not get a good feel for the centre. My hotel was not clean and on the whole I was happy to only have two days in the town.

So much to do.
So much to do. Something for everyone and options for all ages and abilities. The scenery is beautiful. I loved walking through the redwoods.
The tourist attractions are expensive and that is a shame as you need to choose and cannot do as much as you would like if you are on a budget.
However, it is a beautiful city and I will definitely return.

Rotorua is a great place to stay with plenty to see and do as long as the weather is fine. When wet there are not a lot of indoor activities to do other the Polynesian Pools, Government Gardens, and the Maori Village with the carving displays.
Many restaurants are available with a great variety of cuisines.
Accommodation is many and varied but it can be difficult to find one that meets all expectations as some of the advertising is not that clear.
With all of the publicity over Fenton Street I was worried that we might be exposed to what we’d seen on TV being close to Fenton St. There was no need for worry, it was lovely and quiet. This shower had the best water pressure that we’ve come across and we’ve stayed at many hotels and motels. Staff were so accommodating they gave us options to rectify a problem and took their time with our problem despite being very busy
the property was perfect, clean and had everything you would need! nice big cozy bed, kitchen had lots of complementary hot drink options, and bathroom was perfectly clean.
The man working the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were well set up for our stay. I will definitely be recommending this place to any of my friends and family that come to visit New Zealand.
Very good location, rooms are big, beds are comfortable, but not very large , breakfast not that much wow, could be better , staff are helpful and friendly, near the hotel there is a whole area with many restaurants, food street as well , I think in Rotorua itself not that much 5 star hotels are there, do probably it’s the best of all.
My family and I decided last minute to head down to rotorua for the night. The best decision we ever made as whanau. We felt very welcomed from start to end. Rooms were amazing clean tidy and enough room so we could all sit together and eat. Pool was amazing couldn’t have asked for better.
Great location and gorgeous Victorian detail hotel. We were in the newer wing as had a family suite so didn’t get to enjoy the period features as much as those rooms are much newer shower the size of the accommodation was really great. Also loves the hot pools for use for guests.
The whole place was terrific from the stunning view you wake up to every morning to the homely feel of the little cabin for people who want to get away but not have to stay in a hotel surrounded by people this is the perfect place and the owners are so easy to deal with.
The bathroom is clean and good size, it also has an indoor plant inside. Bed sheet is white in colour, like a 5 star hotel.
It is Value for money. It is a AirBNB stay, shared the house with the host.
They even provide butter/Jam for your toast if you want.
We had a large comfortable room with a balcony. Very new and well decorated. Nice bed. The grounds of the property are beautiful, and the staff is lovely and so helpful. I loved that they were displaying a local artist's work throughout the hotel.
A spacious room which was wonderful for my 14 month old to play around in and stretch her legs. We had a multi-level room which was a treat after staying in a couple hotels along the way. Would recommend this property to anyone staying in Rotorua
Hideaway is a fabulous place - great modern facilities and a lovely relaxed feel. This is my second stay and I will stay again. Rotorua motels/hotels are a bit hit and miss these days. This is a good one!
Rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a lovely wooded walking path near the hotel, and the pool and spa were clean and comfortably warm.
Great location without a doubt, room were cleaned, love the restaurant and the bar! Just loveee everything there even the staff were great and would recommend the hotel to everyone
Lots of options for the kids, hotel is spacious and a very affordable. Our family would love to come again! Overall I'd rate this hotel 5 stars, highly recommend
Loved this place! I’ve stayed at lots of hotels/motels in Rotorua before for various sporting events for my kids and I’d definitely be back to stay here again!
Good wifi included. The room and beds were comfortable.
The hotel was a comfortable walk to several restaurants. An easy find and on a nice quiet street.
