Super clean, well-appointed and really comfortable, warm cottage.
Location is perfect for exploring the area from Kaitaia up to Cape Reinga over a few days and the cottage is within a short drive of Pukenui and 90 Mile Beach.
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and would happily stay there again next time we are back in the north of NZ.
Nestled amongst tall trees with plenty of shade, Pukenui Holiday Park is just 500 metres from the beautiful Houhora Harbour.

The petting zoo?? I'm not sure what you would call it, but that was great for the kids. The hosts for this particular weekend were lovely and friendly. You allowed pets, and we had a puppy that stayed in his cage. You are in walking distance to the dairy and takeaways. The room was clean and offered basic essentials like cutlery, plates bowls, coffee cups, cloth, and tea towel. The heater was great, especially to dry our towels and warm room up.

Not beach house, 5 minutes drive to beach, view was block by neighbor camping caravan and fishing boat. Completely misleading by web photo.
No shampoo, no body wash, no hair dryer, no tv, no Wi-Fi .

Rangiputa is a great location for accessing the Karikari Peninsula and the far north. The beach is stunning and great for a walk. We ate at Carringtons resort which was a great location and a delicious meal.

We saw a mum whale and her baby splash about in the sea and swam in clear water and soft, silky white sand to walk on. Fishing is popular and locals are friendly. Rangiputa is a gorgeous place to holiday at. Loved the other beaches around the other bays.
