A perfect apartment. Clean, quiet, well presented and comfortable. Probably the best I’ve stayed in NZ. Shame it was just an overnight stop. Thank you.

The ice-cream shop and Pokeno Bacon are great but there's so much more there than I realised. Other places to eat and get take-aways. There's some walks you can do which lead to water holes where you can swim. There's a waterfall too.

The place was easy to find and attractive but I wasn't happy that we could not lock the door from the inside at night. it made me feel insecure. Every other place we have stayed in , here and overseas, you can 'lock yourself in' for the night. It was expensive for only two people. The place was very clean.

The room was good and the host were friendly however it looks very much like we picked up covid from them. They should not be hosting anyone if the have any sort of symptoms. They were both coughing. Wendy was particularly bad. I now have had to change flights and arrange further accommodation so I can Isolate. I am very disappointed to say the least as well as being financially out of pocket by there actions. extremely disappointing.

    Would not recommend to anyone.

Would not recommend to anyone. Hot water was limited and when we arrived we had to have cold showers. What we had booked we didn't receive. We were to be put into a dorm that was already occupied by tenants and they were to be moved out for the night. The double room we had booked was no longer and we were to be put into a single cabin. False advertising and fridges were full of spoilt food from previous travellers so we kept our food in a chillybin.

We were wanting accomodation reasonably close to Pukekohe & these cottages are a very pleasant 10min drive away. We chose to stay here as we liked the idea of being rural & we were not disappointed. The cottages are beautifully fitted out & feel more like a home than a motel. We loved the high ceilings & modern 'full' kitchen & the covered deck area a real treat to sit & enjoy the rural outlook with a morning cuppa. The beds & bedding looked like they'd come out of interior design shop - quality quilts, coverlets etc. We don't often find a good quality flat screen tv in the motels we frequent - so this was a plus too. We will definitely stay again... & stay longer this time. Would be a great place for groups of families wanting a get away together as there is a communal outdoor undercover seating area provided & the 5 cottages would be ideal for families to rent.
