The bed was so comfortable and clean.Out of all the accomodation we've stayed in, this is definitely the most amazing place to be. Friendly host and stunning views. Tino Ataahua.

Enjoyed a lovely walk around Picton and along the coastline. Did a fabulous half day morning boat trip cruising around Charlotte Sound which was great, and ate dinner at the Oxley Hotel, also very good.

We loved the harbour views! There was also a good selection of cafes and restaurants, which all had friendly service and competitive pricing. We enjoyed our one-night stay and walked everywhere with ease.

Charming waterfront and very child friendly.
Charming waterfront and very child friendly. The pirate boat play area and splash pad is so nice for the little ones. We only walked around the centre up to the walkway bridge which present a marvelous view. As we are not trekkers, we only passed by Picton to proceed to Nelson from Wellington, and as overnight stop for the Interisland ferry back. There were many road closures when we visited. Perhaps next time, we will explore the surrounds.

A lovely little town with some fabulous walks.
A lovely little town with some fabulous walks. Stay a couple of days after getting off the ferry instead of just driving through. ( Although a little busy when a cruise ship arrived in port, but they are not there every day!)

we were only there overnight, we took an early morning Ferry. the motel was in a great location, we could walk around town and to our restaurant for an evening meal. the reception Lady was wonderfully helpful
The location is just perfect if you are traveling by public transportation. Max. 5 min walk to ferry, train and bus stops. Main shopping street with many restaurants and bars just 1 block away. The harbor with green area and yacht docks just across the street.
The staff give a warm welcome and are very friendly.
The social room well equipped with comfortable armchairs, books, games, and music instruments (even a piano).
Kitchen clean and has all you may expect from a youth hotel, and the staff are there to help with anything.
This is a very small hotel (only 3 rooms) which only adds to its charm. Its location in the centre of Picton is an additional benefit as it is only a couple of minutes' walk from shops and nearby facilities. The old world style of decor ,the large rooms which are spotless and supremely comfortable has to be experienced. The restaurant is closed for evening meals , but the welcome touch of a wine and cheese plate is a unique touch. Breakfast is offered and sets you up for the day ahead.
I would love to stay here again.
Reception was busy at arrival and extra staff came to help so you weren't left waiting.
Motel unit was a good size. Was very clean.
Had everything you needed plus a full sized dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Lots of cooking pots, pans and utensils.
Beds were comfy.
Two couches to lax out on with a good sized tv to watch if you felt like it.
Unit dedicated car park
Great playground for children.
Deck with table and chairs was lovely.
I wouldnt hesitate to go there again.
Amazing facilities in an old amazing kept accomodation, if you want something really cosy and fabulous while visiting Picton, this is the spot for you. Only one regret we have, that we stayed there only one night, it is really great and the family who is taking care of the property are doing a tremendous job, well done, this is the best way.
Although the size of the room was not exactly large, it was one of the best accommodations I've had. This place has some New Zealand "spirit" and good vibe. It is in the center of Picton so everything is really close (1 to 5 min walk). Tiny small room with everything you need. Will book again.
Eva is super friendly and helped me plan my trip around Picton. She gave me information on the water taxis and which track to hike. Eva recommended a very good wine to try! If you have questions or need help planning your trip around Picton, Eva is your person!
Basic comfortable motel close to the centre of Picton. 10 minutes’ walk from ferry terminal. Comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi signal. Has the benefit of 2-ring hob for anyone wanting to cook. Close to shops, restaurants, ATM and supermarkets.
the hotel's location was perfect. Just a short walk to the town centre and a number of good watering holes and meals.
The room was very clean and fully stocked to make the stay enjoyable.
If asked I wouldn't hesitate to say go for it
The service was excellent - reception was lovely.
Continental breakfast the next day was also lovely.
Location is fantastic, 2min walk to supermarket and to the best fish and chips in Picton- Paper Fish (as suggested by reception)
We loved our stay at the house, provided one of the best views in Picton. It was located close to town, but far enough away to not be bothered by loud sounds or noises. We will definitely look into coming back here in the future.
This was our 4th stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfy, and the hotel is in a great location. We also made good use of the pool...very enjoyable. We would definitely stay again.
Great location. Close to shops, restaurants, and activities. We were able to access our room early and leave our luggage at the hotel until we caught the train in the afternoon.
