The concierge at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful when we arrived. It really set the tone for our stay.
Our room was lovely and cosy warm. The under floor heating in the bathroom was divine and the heat pump was fantastic.
The heated pool, cedar hot tub, and sauna were lovely and clean. We really enjoyed using them.

The location was great and easy to access the beach. Our weekend weather however was not helpful as it rained most of the time we were there. The home was tidy and provided all the required needs for us. Would gladly stay here again
Tairua Shores Motel enjoys a harbourside location close to the Tairua Wharf, and it takes 2 minutes to drive to the town center or a 10-minute beach walk overlooking Mt Paku and Tairua Harbour.

The home was clean and cozy. There was a creek running nearby and a large garden for the perfect location to relax.
The hosts were in contact with me to make sure everything was in order. They even offered a late check out so that we were not rushed to leave.
It was cold, and we went through a lot of wood for the fireplace (probably more than normal because I get cold easily). When I asked the host where I could buy more, she had organized a truck to deliver a load full by the afternoon. Exceptional service and very thoughtful.
Will definitely stay there again.

It’s a studio - immaculately clean; separate loo and shower - vanity. All the Crockery etc needed for 2 to enjoy a continental breakfast at the outside table - comfortable bed - milk in fridge; electric jug and toaster if needed - or a glass of wine. 5 min stroll back down to the shops and eateries - warm personal welcome by the host

REally like this place, would like to have spent more time here as there was more tourist thing to do here than at Whitanga. Nice flat area for walking, good cafe and friendly people. Nice beach areas.

I’m a body boarder and I loved being so close to a great beach.
There is a nice cafe beside the takeaway shop. Good to have a Supervalue.
Meal at JKs one night. Lovely staff and delicious food.
Others had told us it was really posh and we could see that it has lots of expensive houses on the beachfront and over on the mountain in Tairua but also lots of less flashy houses and everyone we met was really friendly.
Would definitely visit again if we’re up that way.

Great for relaxation, mainly summertime.
Great for relaxation, mainly summertime. Had no options after hours for supplies tho ie supermarket, dairy, etc. There were a couple of restaurants to choose from. Cabana was very tasty, good service, and the staff were absolutely wonderful - offered us water and milk to take back to our accommodation as everywhere else was closed for the night. You could easily pushbike around and the beach was nice. We stayed one night and that was plenty for us.

The road is very winding which can be a bit of a struggle for those who experience travel sickness but the destination is worth it. Beautiful scenery, fantastic beach, small quaint shopping area where you can even buy swimming apparel if you have forgotten yours. Great if you are into swimming, hiking, biking or just relaxing!

The town is a beautiful little place that has everything you would need. It is peaceful and appears prosperous.
It is however very quiet and people looking for more adventure will be driving to get it. On the plus side, Pauanui is situated in a point on the Coromandel that makes it easy to get everywhere.

Such a clean environment. Quite yet so much fun to have.
Such a clean environment. Quite yet so much fun to have. You cant get lost. We spent all our time at The beach which is beautiful and our fav place to hang plus everyone we walked pass always said hello. Contemplating on buying property here within the next year as I like to call Pauanui a second home for us.
Women who met us and explained everything to us was friendly and informative. She helped to make our stay enjoyable.
Apartment was clean, with good facilities and very well located near the seafront especially for the start of the Pauanui half-marathon and 10k which started about 100m form the apartment. Good secure parking in the underground garage.
We absolutely loved our stay at Pauanui Pines, the facilities are wonderful and there is absolutely everything you need to have a great time away from buckets/spades for the beach, bikes, tennis, pool and plenty of pool toys, spa, the biggest DVD selection, plenty of outdoor toys and games for the kids and so much more. We can't wait to go back again!
Puka Heights has the most stunning location nestled in the hills above Pauanui and it’s beautiful beach. For us it was an ideal base from which to explore the Coromandel Peninsula and a tranquil and beautiful place to return at the end of the day. Angie and Warren are the warmest and most generous hosts. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
