The beds were very comfortable. I really great sleeps during my stay. Our suite was very clean, especially the bathroom. The location of the accommodation was prime, very close to the highway, easy access to the beach and supermarket.

With a toddler, her comfort comes before us. As soon as we walked in, she was in her element. It felt just like home. Relaxed child means relaxed parents!

Its best pie shop (Main Street Bakery) closes during the school holidays but the next one (Salut) has some interesting tastes.
Great roast lamb can be found at Town and Country Food Otaki. There is also an RSA (Retired Serviceman's Association) out back of town where everyone can get a good meal (evening), some alcohol and gaming entertainment.

Otaki is a quaint place with 2 supermarkets at either end of the town and a selection of eateries/takeaways. It is very easy to find from SH1 and has a beautiful beach that stretches for miles. The area seemed clean and well looked after.

The room was very dated and in need of modernisation although the bathroom appeared to be brand new. The heat pump didn't work and the motel is located next to SH1 so heavy traffic noises all night long.

I was in Otaki to go to a wedding at Te Horo, so I spent only an hour or so in the town. I went to the Saturday market and bought some soap and had a good coffee from a cart. The town's main street on State Highway 1 is known for its outlet shops. I the past I have paid good prices for Icebreaker garments there. Not a bad reason for stopping in Otaki. A pleasant, clean town with attractive beaches nearby and good fruit and vegetable shopping at the market gardens.

My answer to this question would be totally biased as I grew up in the district as a teenager & it felt like returning home after 60 years.
Spent time with some of my former school mates
reminiscing.
Our hosts at Sea Salt Julie & Paul greeted us like long lost friends & were amazing.

there is insuficient options for good motel accomodation with good heating/coolng and onsite meals and restaurants to have sit down meals, advertised place for restaurants were closed. we only stay there to visit family, not ideal for travelers without a specific reason to stay there.
What a lovely accommodation! We loved our stay here and regret having booked it only for 1 night. We'll definitely be back one day! A very comfy bed, great shower, beautifully decorated... a very comfortable stay! We loved the breakfast provided too. Dale was away the night we stayed here, but the communication was great! We highly recommend!
The property was in a stunning location and it had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. We will definitely stay again if we are in the Otaki area for work (or even a good base for a short holiday). The gardens are immaculate and would love to come back in the summer when we can enjoy the outside area in the warmer weather.
Very reasonably priced.
The room was comfortable, and so was the bed, even
though it was very low.
We had everything we needed. Updated bathroom. Clean and bright.
Very friendly staff.
So close to outlet shops and only 3.7ks to Anam Cara Gardens for the wedding we attended.
Close to beach and Otaki township.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Perfect spot for a weekend retreat away from the city. Very accommodating host. Breakfast provided. Comfortable and relaxing environment. If you have a car, then it is not too far to a supermarket or Ōtaki beach. It was great being able to bring my little dog with me.
Nice and cozy atmosphere with a Balinese touch, lots of privacy, I had no problems reaching it by bus, but there is enough space if you come by car. Very considerate and friendly host, attention to detail, just a nice place in lovely Ōtaki. Also not far from shops, restaurants and supermarket.
Loved the location. Owner very nearby. Little area fenced for our dog. Lovely Otaki Gorge. Not far into Otaki and Raumati. The barn cottage is quirky ... comfortable bed..and the little homemade breakfast products were appreciated. Thx Judith
A stunning property with lovely attention to detail, incredible breakfast ingredients, and homemade jam! Lovely hosts with excellent communication. Handy location, just out of Otaki. A real hidden treasure.
Quiet, clean and the garden is beautiful. A wonderful little gem in Otaki, perfect location for us as it was down the road from our friends. Will definitely stay here again if we come buy Otaki.
Otaki Motel is on the main SH1 so very convenient to the Outlet shopping, food, Otaki beach and Otaki Village. It also is close to Levin where there is plenty of things to do.
