Starting off with a warm & friendly welcome from our host Dyan and her dog, we were shown our room (overlooking the bush) and all amentities, including the hot tub. Afternoon tea on the deck overlooking the bush with homemade treats by Dyan was delightful. She even recommended where to have dinner. Breakfast was brought to our room including homemade meuseli, muffins & fruit salad. Great start to the day! And the hot tub at the end of a day of hiking around the island was very relaxing. Our room featured a balcony and a great view! Walking distance to Little Oneroa Beach and the township of Oneroa. Near bus stops to get anywhere you want to go on the island. No car necessary.

The property said it was in Oneroa, but was actually a few kms out of town. Bus was convenient though. Fenice and the Waiheke Grocer we’re both fabulous. Got a bargain at the Recycle Boutique. Cyclone prevented beach time, but had a lovely massage come to us (Inner Spring). Even in bad weather Waiheke was fun and beautiful

Charming small main town on Waiheke Island.

Charming small main town on Waiheke Island. V good bus service and is served by 2 ferry likes to Auckland. There are several excellent restaurants and many wonderful wineries on the island, which we recommend. The locals are friendly and helpful. We have stayed in Oneroa several times and always look forward to returning. It is not a cheap destination.

Great place to visit, lots to do & see.

Great place to visit, lots to do & see. Earlier in the week a number of places closed due to Covid as they can't get the staff. Closer to the weekend more places open. Enjoyed lots of Cellar Door tastings & took lots of wine home to stock our cellar.

Our stay at Cable Bay Views was great. The studio was spacious and clean, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. The stunning view added an extra touch of beauty to our experience. While the location had a few challenges, such as being a 25-minute walk from Oneroa village and the absence of a nearby bus stop, these were minor inconveniences that didn't significantly impact our overall enjoyment, especially being also close to well-known wineries like Mudbrick and Cable Bay (3-5min walk).

We were made to feel very welcome here. Breakfasts were amazing. Loved the complimentary afternoon tea, beautiful home baking each day. Also very much apprecaited the light been turned on, heater switched on and curtains drawn when we arrived home each day after dark. Great location. Walking distance to beach and town but also a bus stop just up the road. Highly recommend!

We visit Waiheke Island frequently and have been looking for a special place to return to. Now we have found it! This apartment is perfect for a couple. Close to Oneroa, very clean and comfortable and the beautiful garden is a bonus. Our hosts were wonderful. As were the treats they provided. We can't wait for the next opportunity to stay at Oneroa Secret Garden apartments.

Everything!! everything we could have wished for and more was in the apartment. Tracey had left us welcoming chocolates and a lovely hand written note. even though it’s right on the main road, you can’t hear the traffic from inside. Maybe 200m stroll from Oneroa village. will definitely stay again.
