We have choices and could have stayed at a Resort/Spa further down the road toward Taupo, but having no internet, no tv, in a tranquil, quaint village did it for us

Very modern and warm property with a lot of mod cons. The spa was great and a nice deck to enjoy accessed from the kitchen. 2 huge smart TVs were great, and the WiFi was very fast, allowing us to work from the property with no issues. Was also great to have access to a garage to store our bikes. Very close to the Waikato River Trail for those that are cycling.

Very cosy little place. We stayed for 6 nights and absolutely loved it.
The beds were very comfortable.
It had all the facilities we needed, and the spa pool was an absolute bonus.
It's situated close to the township and lake.

It was our first time to visit Mangakino.
It was our first time to visit Mangakino. Our purpose for the visit was the Mangakino Lake Hop held once a year. The weather was'nt that great in the morning but that didn't stop us from enjoying the venue. Cool cars, speed boats, hot air balloon's and helicopter rides. Also big trucks and motor bikes. I recommend the Creamy Mushroom Bacon Burger. Plenty of stalls, food stalls and a couple of bands playing. Really enjoyed ourselves.

I have already answered this question on a previous survey. The house was not clean. The oven was so dirty I wouldn't use it. The dinning table had food stuck on it that I had to clean before we could use it. The chest of drawers in the bunk/lounge had sticky soft drink spilt on them. The bath/shower had hairs around the taps. Didn't mind that the house needed painting or that it wax old. It had good heating but there's no excuse for dirtiness!!!!
