The nearby McLaren Falls Park was beautiful with multiple scenic walks, fabulous trees and a great cafe.

I have stayed at this motel several times in the past.
It has been thru an extensive upgrade from old and tired to modern and fresh.
The location is great for walking to the strand or hoping across to the Mount.
The dinner menu was very affordable and tasty, however the Breakfast prices are surprisingly expensive.
Breakfast was dearer than dinner, not sure how they chose that price.
Offering modern rooms with a balcony and a microwave, Hotel on Devonport is just 10 minutes’ drive from Ocean Beach.

Location was really good. Walked to restaurants and cafe downstairs was great for breakfast.

Good location in Tauranga CBD. Close to waterfront and easy access to roads in an out. An old post office and a nice looking building from the outside. Some nice touches in the rooms as part of converting the building to a hotel. Onsite car parking
