loved the position with a walkway onto the beach. The accomodation had everything, a great kitchen and very comfy bed. Loved that there was a shovel for use on Hot Water beach which was an amazing experience

Friendly and accomodating staff. Our room was pretty warm when we arrived and was clean and tidy. There is parking right outside our unit. Location is very close to the beach with a lot of access and it is also close to the start of the cathedral cove track but apparently the track is still close.

The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

Extremely crowded in hot spring area. People are very selfish with hot pools and don’t tend to share the small area with the springs. When you do get the chance to make a small pool, it’s very fun and the water is great.

Don't come too early!
Don't come too early! The tide needs to go out to expose the heated area which you can feel by digging your feet into the sand.
We arrived too early and dug for an hour in the wrong area for no reason, do the research on where to dig to save you time. Walk about 250 meters from the end car park back along the beach to find a rock outcrop. We found the heated area on the seaward side of the rocks. See the photo.
We ended up digging with complete strangers to try to find a heated area and ended sharing our pool which was a nice touch.
The springs are hot - almost unbearable, so a bucket to get seawater is a good idea to cool your pool down. Don't forget to use sunscreen too!

Hot Water Beach is amazing - dig your own pool and sit in a warm, free jaccuzi just by the ocean. First time we did it was under a full moon and thousands of stars - magical. The second day we did this the water was even too hot to sit in after a while. Fantastic experience - MUST DO!
great location with waling distance to great cafe art galleries and hot water beach. Easy off street parking for more than one car. outdoor table and chairs facing sunny garden. comfy sofas. Comfy beds and sunny, airy rooms. Owner was fast to respond when we needed things. Was advertised with a microwave but there wan't one but she arrived with one quickly when we requested.
Great stay!! Cannot wait to come back. Deborah and family were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. The room was great and just a short drive to HOT WATER BEACH & CATYHEDRAL COVE.
Shame we weren't there long enough to enjoy everything this place has to offer!
Recommend the Hot Water Brewery, Cofree shop and the wood fire pizza.!!!!!!
Short walk to Hot Water Beach. Spade hire available (though if you wait long enough, people with spades will dig enough holes that you can occupy theirs once they abandon them). Cabin was small but clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were perfectly adequate for shared space.
A quiet time of year, so the park was rather quiet (to our liking). The grounds and facilities are immaculate, and the feature of Hotwater Beach was easily accessed from the park, along a scenic short raised boardwalk which gave us our first view of a Tui bird :)
Really great location for accessing Hot Water Beach. You can literally walk from the property directly on to the beach. No roads or sidewalks involved. There's even a shovel at the property so you can dig your personal hot tub on the beach during low tide.
This is a lovely and airy beach house, beds were very comfortable, and essentials for our stay were provided. A shovel for us to use at Hot Water Beach was left for us on the deck. Location is great, within walking distance to Hot Water Beach
Great Park located close to hotwater beach and well looked after with friendly staff ! Dinner and breakfast can buy on site or make your own in the kitchen provided. Good cabins with warm comfy beds.
The cottage was super cute and stocked with necessary items. We were very comfortable and warm. Cottage is within very easy walking distance to hot water beach.
