I loved my name on the board when we arrived telling us what cottage we were staying in. There were sheep, llamas, cows and pigs in front of the cottage, chickens behind us. The pool was next to us and a play park in front of our small garden. There were fruit trees in the garden and a BBQ. It had a small deck with seats. The cottage was clean, Warm and had what we needed. The Kids loved it. Unfortunately it was raining and we didn't get full use of the facilities

Lots of positives as a place to stay. Large lounge with small kitchen area, breakfast provided, very clean, quiet and a comfortable bed. Has everything you need for longer stay.
The area had some great wineries and great food options.
The area had some great wineries and great food options. We also really enjoyed the honey tasting. The wineries are worth a visit. Unlike wineries in California and in most other wine regions, these wineries often have a full lunch option. The area has plenty of expensive options for food, but also has plenty of burger places or fish and chip options.

I really hate staying in the Napier , Hastings area.
I really hate staying in the Napier , Hastings area. Rowdy noisy cars racing around town, and the local council does nothing to address it.
Try to avoid staying there at all costs, just having too, sometimes.
Even going to the top of Te Mata Peak, you have people in cars smoking weed, and stereo up load at a beautiful location. Shame people do not realize what they have.

I've been to Havelock North before but was happy to come back again. It is handily situated near Te Mata Peak and the beach communities of Haumoana. There are also a number of great wineries nearby - Black Barn is worth a visit for lunch and on Saturday for the small market. For a small town it has a great selection of eateries and clothing shops - I think the town is reasonably affluent. You can also hire bikes, which I have done before and cycle to the wineries or out to the sea.

We love this area for the vineyards.
We love this area for the vineyards. We had a beautiful lunch at Black Barn and an exceptional dinner at Craggy Range. Havelock North is easy to walk around and has some nice coffee stops. The outdoor pool is worth a visit in the summertime.

Havelock North is a lovely place to spend any length of time. The people are lovely and there are so many food experiences and activities to entertain the whole family both within the village and in nearby locations such as Napier.
We stayed in Havelock North to attend a memorial service for a much loved family member who was the last of his generation. It was an important family gathering. The size and facilities of the homestead enabled our immediate family to stay together and to catch up with other members of the wider family over a relaxed meal in the evening.
The country setting and other cottages were a distance away so never heard anyone
The swimming pool was mild Luke warm which was great.
Great selection of hosts very friendly animals which our dog could socialise with. They would be great with kids!
Centrally located and easy walking distance to everything in havelock north.
We loved the layout of this new house. It is spacious and well equipped with lots of outdoor area to enjoy. This is a great place to base yourself for visiting wineries with all the top ones nearby. We loved the cycle trails around Havelock North and the short walk to the village and pool.
Nice quiet location, just a few minutes from Havelock North main centre. Great facilities, bed very comfortable, hosts had thought of everything. Complimentary products from their lime business were a nice touch. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
