We went for a sports event so a single purpose overnight stay only. The in-line hockey rink was well attended. Sadly my husband had a fall from the bleachers as the step heights are quite high with no safety rail across the front. No comfortable seating available so we took cushions to sit on.

I was there for a sporting tournament - Hamilton is easy to navigate with a car.
We stayed in Frankton and although it was industrial - there was plenty of good eating options, would recommend the Helm bar and restaurant and the local Speights both had excellent food and service.
Hamilton Gardens was a good way to spend an afternoon in between watching games.

Hamilton is where our major hospital is and where we need to travel to for treatments and appointments. Home is almost 3 hours away, so good to stay a night.
There is plenty to do if you are not stuck at the hospital though.

We found it to be a clean and friendly city..
We found it to be a clean and friendly city..Victoria Street is the Hub..lots to do and see both Day and Night..there is a Friday night food market. You don't a car as you can walk to all the places. Great place to stay.
I love how everything was clean. I love the big cotton towels, the big comfortable bed, the big sky tv, and how easy it was to access the lift right by the entrance and be up in my room in a flash. The staff were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast was yummy and the layout of the restaurant was spacious and friendly, overlooking the calm waters of the Waikato River.
It was my first time to stay in an Ibis Hotel. Whenever I visited Hamilton I always stayed at Novatel but this one was better in my opinion.
We were looking for an economical option for 4 people. This ticked the box for us, for a couple of nights. The kitchen was well stocked, oven fridge good, but oven dated... The location on Ulster Street made it central Hamilton was what we wanted. Beds were comfy. Room was clean and we were stoked to have 2 bedrooms, one for kids and us. Lots of storage in cupboards.
Very central hotel to restaurants and bars, a building with space and with character. large high ceilings in the bedroom which was airy and had the added benefit if its own heat pump, fridge & microwave plus tea and coffee facilities .Tiled bathroom with a deep bath and good pump bottle washing products. Linen and towels crisp and white and comfy large bed.
The continental breakfast and home made thai curry were very cheaply priced. Afternoon snack and chat also very pleasant.
The BnB is very close ( a few blocks) to the wonderful Hamilton Gardens.
Quiet. Clean.
Very decent hotel, Hamilton central is located nearby (10min walk), nice looking a pool (we sadly didn't have time for a dip ourselves). Room was spacious and had everything you needed.
