Staff and room were fine although could have used a double bed in the lounge area rather than a large Queen which took up too much space

Very secluded getaway location pretty much designed specifically for wine makers because there wineries for Africa there, but the town lacks in offering much else as a reason to go there unless you’re into tramping (the surrounding areas are tailor made for it) - very little tourist attractions offered in the township compared to nearby Wanaka which punches well above its weight.

Great for wine tasting, especially also at Bannockburn, Lowburn and Northburn. Particularly recommended a booking at Felton Road. Waterpark adds a new dimension. Walking and cycling. It can be windy and also grey in winter.

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell.
It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell. Not surprisingly it had grown and changed significantly - and for the better. The town has a pleasant ambience about it and the people appear very relaxed. Everything one wants is there and there is a comprehensive range of retail and hospitality. We liked our trip so much that we shall be returning for a more thorough look around.

It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery.
It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery. Very close to Arrowtown and Queenstown without the traffic hassles (especially of Qtown). It has a reasonable number of shops, enough restaurants and pubs. we didn't have kids but there seemed to be plenty of places for them to run around and play. it felt safe and inviting.
Sam and Fred were great hosts, providing amazing home prepared breakfasts. They took time to talk about the house and surrounding area, offering suggestions of where to eat and places to visit.
The room was separate from the main house, very private with great facilities.
It was a short walk to Lake Dunstan track, and a few minutes to get to The moorings for dinner.
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, it was a short drive to the main road between Cromwell and Wanaka.
Outstanding property. So private and quiet with all the must have touches and an incredible shower. Bliss!
Nespresso machine, smart tv, washer/dryer and apowerful heat pump made our stay perfect.
From salting the stairs, leaving lights & heating on; along with all the delicious treats, we could not have asked for more.
Loved our walks to Black Rabbit for coffee and cheese rolls but the highlight was meals at Bannockburn Hotel.
The owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent. Being by a small sheltered arm of the lake was an added bonus for bird watching and paddle boarding. Kayaks were also available. A BBQ area was available. A spa and small pool were available. Bike and walking tracks were nearby. Close to Cromwell for many restaurant choices when not using the BBQ.
We stayed in Cromwell as we had picked up our daughter from Otago Uni in Dunedin for the school holidays and then drove into Arrowtown/Queenstown so wanted somewhere outside of Queenstown to stay. It was just perfect! A great spacious place with everything we needed. It was clean, warm, comfy, quiet and modern. Would thoroughly recommend.
Room was very nice and modern, excellent location short drive to Cromwell but away from main busyness, gorgeous setting over lake. Hosts are lovely and helpful, good soundproofing, no neighbour disturbance. Great shower and comfy bed.
The place was MASSIVE - so much bigger than I thought it would be! Easy to find, heaps of parking, very clean and very modern, well appointed, very very impressed. We'll definitely be back next time we're staying in Cromwell.
The view and welcoming nature of the decor and room were fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, honestly. It was a short drive to Queenstown yet truly felt in the middle of wine country which is what we wanted.
For the price. One of the cleanest nicest places I have stayed and the fact they cater for dogs. Awesome. I stay in a lot of hotels for work. But I'll come back here on holiday with my dog. I always stay here on work trips.
Spacious and impeccably clean, the hotel room offered a welcoming retreat with meticulous maintenance, ensuring a delightful and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for those seeking a well-kept accommodation.
The home was spacious & warm, with 7 of us we all had plenty of space to do our own thing. The location was fantastic, we had a stunning view of the lake. It was also great for walking around Cromwell
The place was clean and tidy and right beside the highlands park in Cromwell. Great facilities and spacious for family and friends to seat and eat and socialize.
