It was awesome. Great location..I walked into the city centre along the beach walkway. The Spa bath was amazing, loads of hot water and plenty of towels supplied. The room was so clean and everything worked as it was supposed to.

The property is very nice. Has all the amenities that we're looking for. The place is clean and tidy. The staffs were very accomodating and make sure their guests feel at home and got everything we need. The highlight of our stay was the spa. After a long day trip, this is our much needed relaxation. Amazing! Will definitely be back in this place.

Staying with little kids, very impressed to come back today and find our room beautifully serviced and kids blankies, pjs and teddy's laid out on the pillow all ready for bed time. Bathroom reset was spotless and room attendant even did lovely arrangement of hairbrushes and toilet bags on bathroom counter
We were taken by surprise. A trendy little town with great eating options nestled between Hastings and Napier, on the Clive River, is very handy to the whole of Hawkes Bay. Visiting the Gannet Colony with Overland Safaris was definitely the highlight of our trip, highly recommended. We ate twice at the Thai restaurant ER DEE WA....fresh, delicious, reasonable priced.

The accommodation was in pristine condition. We had privacy from neighbouring guests. Facilities for self catering were excellent. The nearby beach was easily accessible with walking and cycling path.

Great location so handy to Napier, Hastings, Havelock North, you were not in a busy populated area which in these times is a bonus, the gardens around the cottages made privacy a bonus you would not even know you had people in the next cottage. Gardens where delightful. Definitely a place to return to if in the area.

Spotlessly clean, had everything we needed plus extras (eggs, milk, bread, cooking oil, washing powder, etc). Air con was wonderful in hot weather. Beds super comfy. Everything was good quality. They notified us really quickly that we had left items behind so we could go back and get them. Layout perfect for family. Lovely private outdoor area for BBQing and eating. We brought our dog (with their permission) and they even supplied a towel for the dog! Will definitely book again.

Half Way House blue cod and chips were beautiful with the chef bringing our order to the car. Highly recommend this place.
The central location for the Bay is wonderful.
Ate at Er Dee Wa and found it pretty basic.
Loved the pool table and outdoor chest set! Bed was extremely comfy and kitchen was very well-equipped for a small unit. Bathroom, particularly the shower, was great. Hosts were lovely and the location was perfect, lovely beach walk about 2 minutes down the road and easy to get to different parts of Hawkes bay from Clive.
Absolutely fantastic, great service, heating was on and nice and toast warm for our arrival, everything was clean and well kept and very well laid out, definitely one out of the box ! Nice tranquil setting and still just 10 mins from both Napier and Hastings
The super friendly hostess on arrival. The added bonuses that you definitely don’t get in a hotel or motel as in food in your room. Access to fruit and herbs. How homely everything was. How peaceful everything was, just magic
I liked the location in between Napier and Hastings. As we were working down Farndon Road just out of Clive, it was really handy. The access to the cycle trail was great and I'll consider bringing bikes next time.
