This was my first ever Homestay, and I am very happy it was with Sunrise. The host family was very friendly: great Daal Bhat food, local knowledge about hiking (to Rani Mahal) & the Tansen area, and a comfortable bed in a clean room.

Very well priced and efficient service. The room was comfortable and well sized. The bathroom was quite small and would have been better if a more intensive cleaning regime was employed such as the removal of water marking. Exceptionally helpful and approachable management and staff. The town is East 15km from Butwal and is an interesting place in regards to an super enjoyable bazaar with lots of fresh produce held on a Friday. We enjoyed this little excursion off the beaten track. There is a friendly little bar and a very good family restaurant.

Tansen is a very friendly traditional mountain town, no tourist pretence here, a working Nepal town, for a true Nepal experience. Lots of winding streets with culture and small scale commerce, with a lovely pine forest above the town with views over central Nepal and the Himalayas.
