This was by far the best hotel we stayed in Nepal, and it was like an oasis of tranquility for us. The rooms are fantastic (we had two rooms facing the swimming pool), the beds so comfortable that we couldn't believe it, the food in the restaurant superb, the swimming pool very welcoming, the staff very kind, no noise, good wifi... We were a bit disappointed with the National Park, but just to stay in this hotel for a few nights it was worth the detour.

Def a place to visit while being in Nepal, but I somehow got the feeling that the locality has lost a lot of its soul with increasing commercialization of tourism. I heard that before all the tourist lodges were built, Rhino could regularly be seen in Sauraha itself.
Recommend to visit, maybe for 2-3 nights at best.

It was really what you expect in a Lodge surrounded by nature.
All the atmosphere is really familiar and relaxed.
Thanks to Mr Deepak, it was really helpful to organise our Safari day and to arrange the transportation with the taxi and bus tickets.

A lovely town that has more more to offer than the National Park.
You could easily spent a day or two visiting surroundiings on a bike or even by foot.
Or spent some hours along the river side. or just walk up and down the main road in the village..

The owner and personnel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a quiet street near the center of Sauraha, it had a beautiful, well maintained garden. Good breakfast and comfortable room. Price/quality is excellent. The owner arranged a full day walking Safari for us; we had a great time due to the experienced guides; the included lunch was also very tasteful. When you arrive in Chitwan with the bus, the car of the hotel comes to pick you up at the bus station and brings you to the hotel. Really a very good place to stay!
Excellent Location with a Beautiful big Garden, Hammocks & trees. Can't beat the price of this value, the cheapest & the best. Did safaris with the lodge it's a very competitive price and has excellent guides. Saw a Tiger, Rhino, Deer, and Many different types of gorgeous Birds... The food was tasty and loved the Nepali flavors too. I have never experienced such a beautiful staying anywhere in Nepal. I will hardly recommend it to everyone and will definitely come back soon.
Nice stay! Room was fine, good hot water in the shower, screens/netting on the windows, the garden was lovely (such good dahlias blooming!) breakfast was simple and quite good. The owner was very helpful organizing tours, bus tickets, etc! And the staff were very kind. Not the place if you are looking for a super fancy luxury hotel, but extremely good value. We enjoyed. Good location - short walk into town but far enough away to be nice and quiet.
Tara guesthouse is great value for money in a perfect location for visiting Chitwan National Park. Vicky was an amazing host - he picked me up from the bus station and took a group of us on a guided walk around the village. He also helped organise an incredible walking safari (a must do if you visit Chitwan!) and recommended other things to do/see nearby. Rooms are also v clean and comfortable. Thank you Vicky and family for a lovely stay!
Really liked this place. Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms, good options in the restaurant. A bit removed from town (10-15 minute walk) but we used the hotel for the jeep safari - they had lots of options. Would definitely stay here again if back near Chitwan. Staff was all very eager to help. Very relaxing - my only nights in Nepal where I didn't hear anyone or anything else from my room.
Raj and his collueges are very supportive. The journey starts with the opportunity to do a 2 hour village tour where we already saw some elephants and rhinos at the border of the Chitwan National Park.
We had good breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant but also took the opportunity to go out to get some food in the village.
After all a great place to stay, would recommend it.
Suuuuper great location being right on the river!! We saw rhinos, lots or birds, and crocs while having breakfast. The guy working in the cafe is incredibly friendly and will tell you about all the different birds and the rest of the staff was super helpful in planning our trip in Chitwan! Definitely worth the money to stay here, incredible all around!

Accommodation is very spacious and are embraced by lush greenery. The owners are welcoming, and the staff provide remarkable hospitality. Location wise also it’s in the heart of sauraha. Highly recommended.
Prakash was extremely helpful and professional. He helped us book our safari tours, arranged a scooter and booked our bus tickets back to Kathmandu. Anything we needed he made it easy. The hotel is very clean and in a great location for viewing rhinos coming out of the park. It’s also a quiet location but close enough to downtown to walk.
Sujan is an extremely good host who was always available if we had any questions or problems. He also provided a lift to and from the bus station. The rest of the staff were very friendly and made us all feel welcome. The location was also really close to the Chitwan National Park.
