Location was great - close to cultural sites and business (I was travelling for the latter). Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. I stayed with a colleague, with whom I had also stayed at another hotel nearby - which is the kind we would usually stay at, with a more corporate/conference feel. We both agreed KGH Patan was a lot better ;-)

Timila is a beautiful small and cosy hotel with a perfect balance between traditional architecture and modern comfort. It is located in the old city of Patan and the garden is a real quiet little oasis. I stayed in the Bamboo suite which was amazing, sitting on my terrace in the morning and evening...

This was hands down my favourite place of this trip I am on. It was a little pricier than guesthouses I usually stay in, but what a treat. Beautiful apartment in a lovely location. I did not want to leave. Much attention to detail: Nice furniture, complimentary Diet Coke. Breakfast also excellent and generous portion.

I loved the authenticity of the structure and setting. It deserves the historical designation that it has received. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating to our needs. Newa Chen seved us as a place to rest and recuperate from our trip to Mustang.

Patan is very historic with a beautiful square with incredible buildings and temples. Also lots of eateries and places to drink, some wirh fantastic views over the square (we liked Drishya). Frequent festivals, saw an amazing procession on 1st night.
Nice shops selling souvenirs and far less hassle than in Thamel. Beautiful pond nearby. Exquisite night and day. Amazing Golden Temple nearby. Closes down early, places to eat mostly shut by 9pm. Foreign tourists are asked to pay to enter square in most of daylight hours even just to walk through, you can use side alleys to avoid this if you just want eg to go to taxi rank. One street is being dug up by the side of the square so yo sometimes taxis have a longer route round. Pathao and InDrive are 2 useful apps for travel.

It's one of my favorite destinations. In this city, you don't even need to aim at "scenic sites." There are a lot of antient temples and charming sites randomly scattering in the street corners. It's not as heavily influenced by tourism as other areas in the region. People are very friendly.

I stayed for around 3 days; 1-2 days are adequate to explore the well-known historical sites of Patan (Patan Darbur Square, Patan Museum, the numerous temples), and are all in walking distance. Old Patan is rich in culture; the buildings are adorned with intricate Newari carvings, and the Darbur Square built 2000 years ago is still very much alive with activity. The Patan Museum, converted from an old palace, is also a must-see.
Patan is safe - I had asked the locals, and also generally felt safe on the streets. When it rains, some streets might get muddy/have some level of muddy water.

The main square and buildings are absolutely super.
The main square and buildings are absolutely super. Loved gazing at them. I would not say the price of the fee to Westerners is justified though. It's not really set up for Westerners as far as the food shops go. There is a few. But to many dirty food places. We're the hygiene incentive just does not exist. As far a bleach goes it does not cost that much to much. So there is no excuse for the level of filth I this day and age at a tourist place attraction of any kind. Patan fix up with the bleach

The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square.
The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square. Great view from the rooftop patio! Restaurant choices around the corner for every taste and budget. The museum is small but really worth seeing. Beautiful temples and, after the quake, much excellent repairs and restoration everywhere. Lots of little shops, places to dawdle. Good gold jewelry shops, coffee shops, groceries and everything else. Loved the atmosphere, even after being 'in love' with Bhaktapur in previous visits. Nice to spend 2 full days there. Info: Patan, like Bhaktapur, is a UNESCO site, so an entry fee is charged to walk around the main area and this includes the museum. Ask for special validation stamp if staying more than one day. Support what UNESCO is doing!!

Patan is one of my favourite places to explore.
Patan is one of my favourite places to explore. Around every corner is another historical building, temple, shrine etc..
You can spend hours getting lost down the narrow streets. I highly recommend visiting. Especially the Durbar Square and restaurants nearby for a great view.
The service is very good. The person who managed the place is very responsive. The room is spacy, the cleanliness is acceptable. So many cultural activities around because it is near Patan durbar square, so many marriage happening and we can see the dancing and singing from the window. Very early in the morning we can hear the women chanting the praying.
Very comfortable stay, I extended twice. Traveller needs are taken into consideration and a secure and restful experience is curated. Walking distance to durbar square and dokha. Homely food (upon request). Great staff and owners who took my needs into consideration and made sure my stay was comfortable.
Its a great base to explore Patan from.

We loved Mani Homes! It was our favorite place we stayed during our month in Nepal. The location is excellent and close to all the attractions in Patan, the owner is very helpful and friendly, and the room is very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a lovely hot shower. We 100% recommend and hope to stay again.
Everything - Very clean, nice room, comfortable bed, always hot water, great location in Patan, very friendly service, we could leave our luggage there while at Chitwan, nice view into the courtyard, no ac but even with 30 degrees outside we were completely fine with just the fan
The room is well decorated and spacious. All necessary items are available in the kitchen. The location is very favorable just 5 mins walking distance from Patan Durbar Square. The owner is very friendly and kind. Its a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
Great place with lots of old charm on a beautiful square and right in the middle of the sites and sounds of Patan. Amazing home cooked breakfasts on the rooftop with a gorgeous view. The tour of hidden Patan was a huge bonus.
The location was great, just a short walk to Patan Darbar Square. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere with a super friendly staff. It is an eco-friendly hotel so no lift. Overall, I rate this hotel highly and recommend it.
The price is reasonable for a stay in patan, this newly renovated property has commendable cleanliness. They have a good lock system so invanna itself is very safe. The room had a good sized queen bed.
Comfortable dorms! Large capsule bed. Chill place to stay
Went on the free walking tour of Patan with Emi, had a great time & ate super delicious momos (Nepali dumplings) afterwards :)
A lovely guesthouse, a traditional house renovated with modern facilities, located in the middle of Patan's old town, it feels like you've traveled back in time.
The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful.
Location: quiet area near Patan Dubar square
Room: cosy, clean, comfit bed
