Great location. A good sized room. Given that one is heart of Thamel, the rooms are very quiet. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast is varied and good. One can order from the menu.

I had the pleasure to stay at Karma hotel twice during the period I was in Nepal.
In addition to the infrastructure that is well maintained and clean, the owner of the hotel alongside his collaborators are extremely kind and generous. They offered themselves to pay for my visa when none of my cards worked, and waited outside the airport for 2 hours until I sorted my immigration payment during the pick up. Moreover they also provided all the support when I had food poisoning.
Lastly, they arranged everything so I could visit Kathmandu in a very short time. I could not recommend the place more.
Thank you for everyone in the hotel for making me feel home despite beyong on the other side of the globe. I look forward to come back soon!

Conveniently located in central Thamel but in a quiet location. Venture around the hustle and bustle of Thamel throughout the day and come back to the quietish rooms in Himalayan Ghar to sleep in comfortable beds at night. Friendly and attentive staffs. We extended 3 more nights on top of our 14 nights we had initially booked. Overall we had a great experience staying here. We will definately be back.

One of the best stays in Nepal for the price. Our room was smaller, but the clever design made it feel spacious and cozy. Friendly staff and free espresso every day was a bonus.

Although I travel a lot with my elderly mother; and stay in many hotels, for our first visit to Nepal, 2 weeks at Kathmandu's Hotel Thamel was one of the best choice of hotels we could have hoped for...
The decor was impressive, the location convenient, the rooms clean, the wi-fi reliable, the hot water consistent, and the food delicious (particularly the Fish Thali and Fishballs)...
At every level, including management, front door, reception, restaurant, housekeeping, and hotel car-hire, the staff were simply brilliant---extremely warm, polite and welcoming; as well as competent and helpful whenever needed (particularly with regard to my mother's wheelchair assistance).
