This is a modern budget hotel in a quiet location, but within easy walking distance of the town centre. The rooms are very small but everything worked okay and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. There is a luggage room if you need to leave your luggage for a few hours.

The location on the water and the view from the room was lovely. The room was small but fine for a night or two. Easy walking to pretty much everything. Good breakfast.

An Interesting location on a pier in the harbour. Hurtigruten ships sail literally next to the hotel. My room was on the ground floor with my own exterior door and parking was possible right in front of my door.
Breakfast is great with excellent quality.

Great location in a nice area. Small private car park at rear. About 15 minute walk to town centre & Quay. Good size room with french doors opening onto a balcony. Decent bathroom. Comfy bed. We could watch climbers straddling 'the goat' from our balcony.

A picturesque town, everything within a walkable distance. We especially enjoyed the hike to the Devils Gate, a long climb up many Sherpa steps rewarded with a stunning view and rock formation at the top.

Nice and beautiful city with beautiful surroundings.
Nice and beautiful city with beautiful surroundings. I spent few days there before going to explore other ones in Lofoten but it's a perfect place just to walk. There is a big square in the center, few restaurants with delicious local food, some souvenir shops and few big supermarkets. There are also few hiking routes with amazing views from top - definirely a place worth visiting.

A suitable length of stay would depend largely on the time of year.
There are many options for mountain walking in summer, less when snow covers the paths and countryside. Day Trips can be made to explore other scenic towns and villages by the local bus, along the island. Very scenic opportunities for photography with the changes in weather. Interesting short walks around Svolvaer and the harbour, boats, colourful buildings and rocky inlets scenery.

Svolvaer has the iconic architecture and "feel" of the Lofoten Islands but is large enough to have some choice in restaurants and easy access to most services. There are many museums and attractions nearby and just driving through the countryside yields spectacular views. Parking in town is limited and expensive, but the central parking lot is free after 7 PM.

Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer.
Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer. A photographers paradise from Fjord excursions to a road trip further a field.
My key highlights were the RIB Sea Eagles tour with Lofoten Explorers and the 5hr road trip with Lofoten Lights tour operators.
I will definitely be returning to see the Northern lights.

My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary.
My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary. We booked the location because it was close to the airport and it was reasonably priced. On the good side the location was on the water and walking distance to the center of town. The room offered a kitchenette with a table and two beds. One could access the deck overlooking the water. The people working the desk were very helpful, even booking a taxi for us to the airport. The bathroom is shared and the desk is closed at night. You have to walk to town for meals or stop by the nearby Circle K gas station for coffee and/or food if you don’t plan to cook. Rooms were upstairs, and there is no elevator.
I really like how big the room is. I booked for 3 guests, but my room can actually fit for 4 adults and 2 children. The room has its own underroof area and equipped with everything from microwave to kettle, kitchen ware. The location is great. Although it is located in center of Svolvær and there are many restaurants around the hotel, but the hotel is so quiet and private. Breakfast is very good and variety, they serve smoked Salmon and fresh baked waffle as well. My Mom and Dad said this is the best hotel for 15 days trip in Scandinavia.
The landlord was very kind to recommend an A&E hospital nearby so that my daughter can see the dr for her twisted knee. She got referred to another hospital for x ray scan which confirmed there was no fracture.
In terms of the apartment, there is nothing to complaint as it is in excellent conditions with views to the gar out as well as the church behind.
The location of the apartment is excellent- just 5 minutes walk from the pier and rental car pick up point which enables easy access from all over Svolvær
Upgraded to a corner suite which was absolutely worth paying the extra for. The room and especially the view was fabulous. Any small issues were dealt with quickly. The hotel restaurant was fabulous. We had dinner there for one night and breakfast both mornings. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Lots of choice, food was fresh and plentiful. Location was amazing as it was right on the harbour which afforded us the best views and meant we were in the heart of the town. Will definitely be back.
Exc upscale hotel in heart of downtown Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands Norwary...
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast spread, with coffee available v early on.
Bathroom actually has a bit of counter space, which is rare in nearly all of Europe/Scandinavia.
Shower stall itself is tight for tall/large shouldered man: typical.
Rate was v good as we were there in early October; I suspect rate is much higher in season, esp August.
Hotel located in the center of Svolvaer. It is very minimalist, automatic check-in by code, there is no reception, there is only a couple of vending machines, but everything is well written in the description and in my opinion, if you do not have particular demands and you only have the need to sleep before continuing your trip to the Lofoten islands is perfect and above all economical compared to other hotels. I am satisfied with my stay.
It was a HOME - this was better than any hotel or airbnb I’ve ever stayed. It was so cozy and comfortable and I loved the decor. It truly encapsulated the Nordic concept of Hygge. Facilities-wise, there were all the kitchen utensils, toiletries and laundry to make the entire stay such a pleasant experience. Staying here was half my holiday in Svolvær.
The place is beautiful. It was our first night in Lofoten and it was wonderful. The hotel is a typical building, it is not modern but clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a beautiful location. Our room had a terrace that overlooked the port and you could see the cruise ships arrive and depart. The breakfast is very rich and complete. We love it
Location was fantastic! Check in and parking in the garage was a breeze. The place is super modern, has comfortable beds, a great view and lots of amenities. We were so happy with it that we booked another night before we have to leave Lofoten islands. The washer and dryer were a bonus and the lift was so helpful. Loved this place.
The cabin was great! It was a great size and very comfortable. It was great to have a room to spread out more than a traditional hotel room. We will stay here when we come back in the summer. We had a great dinner at the restaurant at the property.
We really recommend staying at this hotel —good accessible location, clean rooms, great communication, and a delicious colourful breakfast await. Plus, they offer luggage storage during the day for free.
Many thanks!
Greetings

lovely little studio apartment located by Svolværgeita. It had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. Great place to be based for exploring the Lofoten Islands. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely stay again.
The location is good, with a nice view of Svolværgeita. There is a lot of space in the cabin. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are hair dryers. Baths have heating in the floor. There are enough parking spaces (we had two cars).
