Cleanliness: The rooms were generally clean, although there was some dust here and there. We understand that this cannot always be perfect.
Excellent service: We would like to give a special mention to the girl with light brown hair. Her helpfulness and friendliness made our stay much more enjoyable. The woman who cleared the tables and served from morning to evening also deserves a big thumbs up. She did much more than the other kitchen/bar staff.
Location is exceptionally beautiful, this hotel is perfectly located, you can drive anywhere within a 1.5 hour drive.

Loved the modern apartment. First time we had a Sauna in the living room kitchen area!! Really clean and also great to be able to use the jacuzzi in the evening after a long Roadtrip.

The location of this property is excellent, just by a stunning lake, where we swam and fished every day, and a decent drive from some of the nicest scenery in Norway. There are seats throughout the extensive back garden where you can enjoy the view and a barbecue is provided. The house is pretty basic but has all you need.
The owner and his helper, Ahmed and Kerri, are incredibly nice and helpful and given they live in the house will come down within minutes to fix any problems.
Gamlehuset is set in Breim and offers barbecue facilities. This holiday home features a garden and free private parking.

> No running water. Water to be fetched from the river.
> No electricity AT ALL.
> No kitchen : no dedicated space for cooking, no utensils, no gas/woodstove. The only way of cooking is the barbecue outside, although very exposed to the elements (fire is not allowed on the dry weeks which was the case during our visit, no covered terrace to sit outside on a rainy day)
> Toilets : dry toilets, or rather a set of wanky planks in an old barn.
> Sleeping : 4 single old fashioned wooden beds scattered around the house. People from 1.85m and above won't fit (yet sleeping on the floor is an option as suggested by the host).
> Overall : very creepy, unpractical old "house" (museum?), full of family pictures, souvenirs etc.
You could do with(out) all the above, but certainly not for 75 euros a night. At this stage I still don't know what we've been paying for ?? We left about 30 minutes after the check-in to the nearest camping, for a better view and some actual services.
The host refused even a partial refund and Booking was of no help at all. We lost 150 euros.

The location off the beaten track but within easy reach of glacier viewing. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Quirky and comfortable accommodation. Made a welcome change from touristy hotels.

Skei was an out-of-the way destination in that there were very few hotel or restaurant options in the near vicinity of the Hotel. That said, our room lanai overlooked a beautiful lake and mountains, and provided access to hiking trails, and was within reasonable driving distance of several glaciers and a national park.
Amazing location, under the glacier, near the fjord. We were staying in the hotel, but when we saw the cabins, we were sorry we did not book rather one of canin-they are very Nice! Room was comfortable, especially bed, and warm. We had the access to fully equiped kitchen all the time. Short distance away, 10 mins walk, you can access great Sauna or walk to the fjord.
Lovely hotel owner! She was very friendly and we had some nice conversations with her. We rented the apartment with 1 bedroom. It wasn't very big but it was very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was well equipped as well and the apartment was very clean.

A professional tourist hotel by a lake with long traditions. Access to a gym, pool unfortunately closed. Very good breakfast and coffee. Dinner buffet very good, rich selection of food - however expensive.
If you rent a room there, go to the bungalows near the river. It would be a reason for me to go back there! The rooms inside the hotel for sure need a remodeling. The staff was really nice and helpful!
