The room was big, had lots of natural light and was clean. The bathroom was large and functional. Great soap. Breakfast was offered although the quality left a bit to be desired.

Very helpful and friendly owners: the dish washer didn’t work, they helped very fast, but finally could not solve it without a technician.
They brought us a bottle of wine to excuse. Very nice geste!
View out of the chalet was fantastic and we had all needed to cook and feel ourselves comfortable.

The place is near Coop prix where we can get things for cooking. Our veranda faces beautuful view in front with cold wind!! Bus stop is just next to the shop.
Iwona was so helpful and kind. She is warm to talk to.

Beautiful character property on the waters edge .
Loved the cosy atmosphere .
Reine is a beautiful but very small town in Lofoten.
Reine is a beautiful but very small town in Lofoten. I went there for two nights and it was just right. First evening just explored the town, on the second full day I took the bus to A and walked around (they have some nice hikes with views) and on the next morning did climb to Reinebringen before going back to Svolvaer. So the trip was nice and productive :)
There are two restaurants (visited both and they have nice fish dishes); small shop at the center (mostly for snacks or burgers and ice cream) so if you need a proper grocery store you will have to walk to opposite short (around 30mins walk or 5mins by car).
In Reine you may also do some cycling and kayaking. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Its a picture perfect town.
Its a picture perfect town. I don't need to describe its beauty. Its apparent from my pictures itself. We were lucky to see Northern lights (Aurora Borealis ) during our stay. It made the stay even more unforgettable.

The cottage we stayed in was cosy with a fantastic view of the water and mountain, sitting there with a hot drink in hand and enjoying the view after a walk on a windy rainy day was the best way to end the day. Has all the things we need for cooking. Free parking space, easy to get in and out of places. It's a pleasant stay.

We did the Reinebrigen hike.
We did the Reinebrigen hike. Lots of people but amazing views.
We also rented a boat from the hotel and went to Vindstad and did the hike to Helvetestiden and Bunes beach. Loved it.
Drive down to the town of Å. Went to the old bakery for cinnamon rolls. Charming. Stopped for lunch at Maren Anna on the way back to the hotel.
The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. We stopped in at Anitas Sjomat for shrimp and brought them back for dinner at our cabin. One night we walked to dinner at Gadus. Charming and convenient.

This is a truly beautiful and majestic landscape, and definitely not to be missed. Inevitably it's own fame and success, together with its one main road, means it can be busy at times, certainly during summer months.
I wouldn't miss it for the world, but there are other really stunning places in Noway to see without the cavalcade of motorhomes, so don't miss those either.

Beautiful location if you have a car.
Beautiful location if you have a car. Very remote with lots of hiking and water activities (for additional fees). You definitely get the sense of what a rugged place this is to live in year round. We had a wonderful (expensive) dinner at the Gammelbua restaurant. No fast food. Try the Coop Prix in Reine to pick up food for lunch/snacks. This is such a beautiful spot that renting a hotel early (6+months ahead) for the high Midnight sun summer season is a must. We enjoyed the museums in A (village south of Moskenes) as they set the stage for us to understand the recent legacy that is Lofoten today.
Beautiful historical family Manor House! Reconstructed recently. Everything is new and made with much care! Located next to Anita's restaurant - seafood bar you should not miss! Very convenient if you like walking in the nature, but cannot do enduring hikes in the mountains. Just between famous Reine and super-beautiful Hamnøy! I would love to come back and will definitely recommend it, if you stay around Reine.
The whole place is really lovely! Every room has been furnished beautifully with a lot of details to discover. We really felt at home after a short time and enjoyed the community area with popcorn machine and the morning yoga lessons. Thanks to Runhild and Zaneta, we always got tips and support when needed. If we should ever come back to Reine (and I hope we will), we will definitely stay at Catogården again.
This was our third visit to Reine and this location cannot be beat. The house is designed to maximize the views, it is really something special! Since it is a brand new house, it is very comfortable and fresh, and being able to bring our dog was a deal maker. Getting cozy on the sofa while drinking in the views was perfect! The host Michael was also very helpful and quick with responses.
EVERYTHING! It was magic staying here! It has breathtaking views in every direction, it is private, spacious & authentic. It has comfy beds, good showers & amenities. It is not a 5 star hotel, but better as it’s far more memorable. Undoubtedly, the highlight of our 3 week trip. It’s within walking distance to restaurants & shopping, but I never wanted to leave the balcony.
The location of this place was the best...just a few steps from bus stop oleniyosa...though it was a bit far from reine main town, but we didn't regret it at all...we stayed for a day and cooked our own food in well equipped kitchen in the rorbuer. Everything was just perfect...the host was very very good...I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know ...
The location is beautiful. The room was very quiet even outside was windy and waves were really loud. The hotel is convenient to go to other villages and the top hiking trail. Our dinner at the onsite restaurant was really delicious, much above our expectations. Their little museum is very cute and interesting.
The location of Eliassen Rorbuer is stunning. The view out of your cabine is pure magic <3
Furthermore, the cabins and their little kitchens are well equipped and provide everything you need. Hint: there is even a salt shaker ;-)
Last but not least, the staff is amazing and helped us out at any time! .
Immaculate! Elegant remodel of a former Manor House. Top quality bed linens and towels. Superb views in all directions. Great location for a first two nights in Lofoten- just a 5 minute drive from Reine and the start of the Reinebringen hike. Very friendly welcome.
I stayed at May Apartment for another 2 nights in a room type called "STORM," located on the second floor. Our room offers a stunning view of the majestic Alps, making this apartment in Lofoten the clear winner for the best accommodation on this trip.
We had the most amazing stay at Manor House. The place was warm, homey and squeaky clean. All rooms had gorgeous views and we were located in the most beautiful part of the Lofoten Islands. The restaurant nearby is also fantastic!
Such a wonderful and cozy fishing cottage. We explored all the small villages from there and hiked Reinebrigen. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the restaurant across the street as well as cooking in our own home.
Because there was some construction, they upgraded us to a deluxe cabin with amazing views. The cabin was roomy and amazing.
Also the location is great if you do the reinebrigen hike.
The house is fully equipped, the views are incredible and its owner Regine is super friendly and professional, I will certainly return to this accommodation on my next visit to Reine.
Madelea is an adorable and well appointed little fishing cottage right on the water with a spectacular view of Reine. The well stocked kitchen and washer\dryer combo were appreciated.
