Very helpful and friendly owners: the dish washer didn’t work, they helped very fast, but finally could not solve it without a technician.
They brought us a bottle of wine to excuse. Very nice geste!
View out of the chalet was fantastic and we had all needed to cook and feel ourselves comfortable.

Reine is a beautiful but very small town in Lofoten.
Reine is a beautiful but very small town in Lofoten. I went there for two nights and it was just right. First evening just explored the town, on the second full day I took the bus to A and walked around (they have some nice hikes with views) and on the next morning did climb to Reinebringen before going back to Svolvaer. So the trip was nice and productive :)
There are two restaurants (visited both and they have nice fish dishes); small shop at the center (mostly for snacks or burgers and ice cream) so if you need a proper grocery store you will have to walk to opposite short (around 30mins walk or 5mins by car).
In Reine you may also do some cycling and kayaking. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Its a picture perfect town.
Its a picture perfect town. I don't need to describe its beauty. Its apparent from my pictures itself. We were lucky to see Northern lights (Aurora Borealis ) during our stay. It made the stay even more unforgettable.

The cottage we stayed in was cosy with a fantastic view of the water and mountain, sitting there with a hot drink in hand and enjoying the view after a walk on a windy rainy day was the best way to end the day. Has all the things we need for cooking. Free parking space, easy to get in and out of places. It's a pleasant stay.

We did the Reinebrigen hike.
We did the Reinebrigen hike. Lots of people but amazing views.
We also rented a boat from the hotel and went to Vindstad and did the hike to Helvetestiden and Bunes beach. Loved it.
Drive down to the town of Å. Went to the old bakery for cinnamon rolls. Charming. Stopped for lunch at Maren Anna on the way back to the hotel.
The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. We stopped in at Anitas Sjomat for shrimp and brought them back for dinner at our cabin. One night we walked to dinner at Gadus. Charming and convenient.

This is a truly beautiful and majestic landscape, and definitely not to be missed. Inevitably it's own fame and success, together with its one main road, means it can be busy at times, certainly during summer months.
I wouldn't miss it for the world, but there are other really stunning places in Noway to see without the cavalcade of motorhomes, so don't miss those either.

Beautiful location if you have a car.
Beautiful location if you have a car. Very remote with lots of hiking and water activities (for additional fees). You definitely get the sense of what a rugged place this is to live in year round. We had a wonderful (expensive) dinner at the Gammelbua restaurant. No fast food. Try the Coop Prix in Reine to pick up food for lunch/snacks. This is such a beautiful spot that renting a hotel early (6+months ahead) for the high Midnight sun summer season is a must. We enjoyed the museums in A (village south of Moskenes) as they set the stage for us to understand the recent legacy that is Lofoten today.
I love everything about this place. The cabins are very cute and inviting. Walking through the doorway and you'd step into a warm, cozy space with soft music playing on the radio. I felt instantly relaxed and at home.
There are a few good restaurants within an easy walk from the hotel (Anita's Seafoods is practically "across the street"). The cabins are also equipped with a kitchen and cooking utensils if you want to cook your own meals.
The view of Sakrisoy from Rostad Retro Rorbuer is simply gorgeous.
The location is perfect for visiting the Reine area. We booked an apartment (cabin) which was new and Nordic style. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bathroom is large and clean. Too bad we didn't have a cabin with a sea view... for NOK 200-300 extra, it's so worth it!!! The resort has a good Italian restaurant (one of the best restaurants in the Lofoten Islands) and is close to Anita's house (we picked up food there).
The location of the house and the village of Reine in general are one of the best and most impressive in Lofoten. Ocean in the east and vast mountains with a Fjord in all other directions. The house is partly modernized and some rooms like the living room are quite new while some others are older. While the house is definitely not in perfect shape, it fully met our expectations and had enough space for our family to ensure a pleasant stay.
Fabulous converted rorbu (fishing hut) right on the water in Reine with beautiful views. Comfortable with a small living room area and kitchen that is equipped enough to cook basic meals. The sleeping situation is a sort of bunk bed with a double bed below and twin bed above that we found comfortable. Quite nice that breakfast is included at the B&B down the street. Great location as a jumping off point for hikes (e.g., Reinebringen).
Such a beautiful place, the views in Reine are simply outstanding and Catogården is perfectly located. The rooms are cozy and beautifully furnished. There are six toilets and four showers you share with the rest of the guests. The atmosphere is lovely, and the owner Runhild is delightful. Start off your day with a relaxing and calming yogasession, and a coffee by the fireplace if the weather is rough (which it can be in Lofoten). :)
This was our third visit to Reine and this location cannot be beat. The house is designed to maximize the views, it is really something special! Since it is a brand new house, it is very comfortable and fresh, and being able to bring our dog was a deal maker. Getting cozy on the sofa while drinking in the views was perfect! The host Michael was also very helpful and quick with responses.
Loved the historic building that was recently renovated, so everything worked well and was very clean and beautiful. Amazing location for views and right across from Anita’s Seafood, we went back like three times over two days! Jack at the front desk was super helpful and advised us to hike Reinebringen at the best time to catch the sunset - one of the highlights of our trip!
The cabin was immaculate and beautiful both inside and out, the view from the cabin was breathtaking. Perfectly positioned in Reine, not far from the shops and some of the best hikes in Lofoten and some of the best views, as an amateur photographer, it was paradise. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming aswell. I couldn't recommend Valen cabins enough.
- supreme location in the heart of Reine
- we were lucky to stay at cottage 23 which is in the famous photos of Lofoten, it is stand alone cottage on the upper area which is much less crowded
- clean cottage, everything functions
- very nice staff were able to help us on laundry free of charge
- lots of parking available
Wow!! What a great place to stay if you are visiting Reine and the Lofoten Islands.
The accommodation is beautifully furnished and it has really great views.
All the appliances are top notch.
I have no hesitation in recommending Andøy Vest Rorbuer Reine.
Newly built with all modern amenities. Self check-in was super easy. Location is very impressive with Reinebringen in the front view. Coop supermarket is next door. Early morning sun shining on the mountain gives an amazing views. Highly recommended.
We had the most amazing stay at Manor House. The place was warm, homey and squeaky clean. All rooms had gorgeous views and we were located in the most beautiful part of the Lofoten Islands. The restaurant nearby is also fantastic!
Clear instructions (self check in, no reception)
Great location (walking distance to Reine hike but need car to get to other nearby spots eg hamnoy, A, etc)
Clean and all basics provided
Free parking in front of hotel
We stayed in the apartment that had a private balcony with beautiful views. Location was perfect. So glad we stayed here instead of a hotel in Reine. Had everything we needed to make our own meals to help save money.
This property could not be positioned any better in my opinion in the Reine area and teh view ofover the water second to none
it was a beautiful Rorbuer. the best we stayed in while in Lofoten. Slice of heaven
Great location in central Reine with an amazing view into the fjord and mountains. The room wasn't huge but was spacious enough for a group of 3. Quick response to Booking messages.
comfortable room, good space for guests to lounge helped create a very warm and communal atmosphere. great location to Reine activities (hike, ferry, kayak)
