Fantastic value for a great hotel. The biggest surprise was that the advertised parking was free and did actually exist. It is next to the hotel building and is only metres from the front door. This is so rare on Booking.com properties, which almost in all cases advertise parking but it actually turns out to be hundreds of metres away or requires additional payment. I had a very comfortable night’s stay here and the room was spotless. The staff were lovely and really went over and above to make my stay perfect. I was leaving for an early flight in the morning (before breakfast was normally served) but the hotel manager made me a sandwich and boiled egg to take with me and poured me a coffee. I really felt taken care of!

An authentic Scandinavian house, carefully renovated and filled with beautiful objects (dishes, etc) by kind and welcoming hosts, becomes this truly beautiful and peaceful place with all the comfort you need. Although we enjoyed slow days with the views from the house in the morning or evenings in front of the fireplace, you are well connected to the Lofoten for a day trip (ferry from Melbu) or nearby Stokmarknes with places to stock up on groceries or a floating sauna you can book. Bonus: if you are visiting at the right time of the year and are a bit lucky as well, you can see northern lights from the house or right behind.
