Everything! I felt very comfortable. Iris (the hostess) is a very nice and thoughtful lady and always made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable 😊. Also the area is really beautiful and peaceful, a bit isolated but there's a supermarket and a beautiful beach nearby and the airport is 6 min away by car. Just keep in mind that public transportation is not as frequent on weekends as on other days. I totally recommend this property for a long or short peaceful getaway 🦋

Such an amazing place! The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is a converted barn on several levels., the top floor is fairly open plan with different sections. There is a cosy living room part with corner sofa and tv, then a section with a bunk bed and two extra single beds, to the other side is a big dining table, and then in a raised section is a double bed. Down some stairs is a fully equipped kitchen, down a few more stairs is a snug with TV, gaming console and bar. On the same floor is a separate toilet and good size shower. There is also a washing machine available to use.
It's hard to describe this property to properly do it justice. It is so fun and quirky with how it has been styled with old artifacts, plus lots of different lighting that helps to create a great ambience.
Location wise it's fabulous, we drove into Ålesund with no issue and also explored all the various islands nearby. It is a truly beautiful part of Norway.
Just a few minutes drive away you have a petrol station, takeaway pizza place and a large supermarket.
If you're looking for something a little different that will bring a smile to your face I highly recommend staying here.

Like a home stay. Terje, the home owner, is a great character. Helpful instructions on how to get to his house. He is full of personality. He took us out on his boat, he cooked us crab and showed us how to eat it, we shared a meal and he took us to the airport so early in the morning. He was kind and shared with us about his life. We learnt a lot about Norway and Terje and we will never forget our stay.
Hotel Noreg is located in Ålesund city centre, 50 metres from the bus station and the Hurtigruten Ferry Terminal. Public parking is accessible nearby. Free WiFi is available.

Longva and Haramsøy must be one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Norway. You can go on beautiful hikes in grassy hills, overlooking the open blue ocean. You can go to sandy, shallow beaches and swim in clean (but cold) ocean water. You van visit the lighthouse and look at the waves crashing in on land. You can see the sun setting in the open ocean (the setting sun was so big and bright we had to wear shades at 23 pm). You can shop groceries in the local grocery store and have a friendly chat with the local staff. And as an extra bonus (if you are lucky)...you can see whales playing and jumping (we watched them from our cabin while eating dinner). In addition to being a beautiful place that is worth a lengthy stay by itself, Longva can also serve as a base to go on excurions to other places, like Ålesund and Molde.
