The location was great. It was a great stop after ferry from Bodo. The setting of the place is amazingly beautiful. Nice, quiet little place right at the end of Lofoten Islands. It is right in the village where you can get the famous Cinnamon Rolls.

Very very thankful to have met a staff who was able to help with allowing us to check in ahead of time when it was a cold, super windy and wet day. Appreciate the flexibility when the room was ready and available.
The place had full amenities allowing us to cook. Everything was as clean as can be.
Loved our stay there!

Ambience was excellent for relaxing in a homely and individual environment. Free yoga session. Free beverages. Good shower. Decor very attractive. Good range books. Stunning views
A very dreamy and picturesque town. If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind, relax and enjoy the surrounding. This is the place. There is a small pier to walk on. The cinnamon roll in the village bakery is delish! Having a car makes staying here convenient as we drove to different places for food and exploration.

We stayed overnight, arriving late and leaving the following day. My son wanted to run with our dog, and found a very rough path around a lake. Not the right place to look for gentle walks or unimpeded runs (unless you like running with cars), as the mountains tower impressively over the village, appearing to rise vertically from the sea. The location is, in that respect, stupendous, with lots of photo opportunities. Quite a few options for things to do - museums, cafes, a restaurant, fishing - definitely fishing - particularly if you find anything cod-related fascinating. I think a one night stay would be sufficient for most people. We enjoyed our time there

A is a perfect location.
A is a perfect location. Yes it is at the end of the Lofoten, but it is not so far from many interesting place to see. You can stay one week there easily +++++++ (and you will still not have explored all :)

At the very south end of the splendid Lofoten islands, Å is a calm and very attractive tiny harbour with an impressive landscape of sharp mountains falling verticaly in the sea. So many other places (Sorvagen, Reine, Hamnoy, Sund, Nusfjord, Fredvang, Henningsvaer, Kabelvag ... ) are really wonderful and must be visited but the distances are so important (130 km from Å to Leknes and return !) that, as time is limited, my solution was to choose some of them when driving south and the others when returning north ... to miss the minimum, minimize the frustration and fill up the camera !
