The hotel is very well managed. It totally beats the renowned brands with a high quality furniture and personal touch. I liked the small details like that the fact that they use real nespresso capsules, not the cheap ones used in very prominent chains. In such a small hotel was a pleasant surprise to find an elevator. Another great feature is the small fridge in the room, which proved very handy with restaurants closing at 17:00 due to Covid measures in Netherlands.
always great staying at slot hotel right off centre of schagen. Cause of covid nothing going on in schagen in the evening but in normal situations it’s always great place. They where also great with the covid situation cause customers where able to use table and chairs in the breakfast area to eat there dinner that had to get delivered and had glasses and utensils available to use. Best. House. Ever! A typical Dutch house in a nice residential neighborhood but just at the end of the main shopping street, great location. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Schagen is a very nice town, has everything you need and is close to the beach and the dunes, without all the tourists. This place was perfect for us.
We had booked a dinner in the Schagen city center and needed somewhere to stay. With a simple but nicely decorated room, enjoyable breakfast and only 5 minute walk to our dinner destination it was perfect. In the morning they were a bit busy getting ready for a wedding but the staff still took care to serve us the breakfast while busy. The building also has nice character.
The property is nice, but the room was horrible, there was a constant noise from the forced air circulation that made sleeping impossible, never had a night as bad as this night before. When we complaint about our experience during check out the only response was oh sorry, no follow up, no questions, so it feels there was no willingness to improve. Never again this hotel
Great little hotel that is on top of scenic bar on the central square opposite the main square and church. The bar has a huge selection of craft beers and wine. Rooms are modern and stylish with all sort of electric applications such as opening shutters and blinds with the push of a button or on your mobile.
I've stayed in many B&B and this has been by far my best experience.
Room was super cozy and clean and the host created a very nice and funny atmosphere. Top location to have a good nights rest in the center of Schagen. Thanks for everything Loek, we'll be back!
The Tuinhuis is a very comfortable place that is super convenient to the train station and central Schagen. Very clean and well maintained. Jans ans Fia are gracious host who are readily available if needed. Parking is just across the street.
The location is excellent, in the centre of Schagen, close to all the bars and restaurants and a short walk from the train station.
The room was very comfortable, everything provided that you need.

The location of the hotel is top, direct in the centre of Schagen, near the main square. Because the hotel is in the location of a former castle, there is space around it and so is a quite place without Traffic!
