Adrie has a large attention to detail, providing everything a guest needs for a pleasant stay. I was only there for the evening, but the availability of cooking facilities and nearby shops as well as small restaurants would allow plenty of options to dine. In good weather a private roof terrace would be nice to enjoy too.
The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Bed was comfortable, if slightly on the softer side. On street parking was no issue, right opposite the house which is in a quite dense but quiet housing estate.
Surrounded by the quiet countryside, Hotel sportsbar & brasserie Dorhout Mees offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. It has a lush garden with a terrace and a golf course.

Great driving drifting school at local test centre, some nice local parks and the new national park at Marker Wadden all worth visiting and enough for a long weekend, otherwise a pleasant modern town.

The room is tiny for 2 people.
The worst: THE BLACKOUT doesn't work. It's wrongly instaled or what? 6 am it's like a sunny day in the room.
45 EUR it's a very very well payed. NEVER MORE THAN THIS.

Lelystad is an interesting town insofar as it is the administrative seat of the province of Flevoland, which is the newest part of the country of the Netherlands. The city was founded in 1967 so it stands in dramatic contrast to the much older cities of the surrounding provinces. For example, Zwolle and Kampen both have buildings dating from the early 1600's. It has a harbor which contains several classic two and three-masted ships, as well as an amazing life-sized replica of a Dutch vessel from the VOC (the Dutch East India Company), named the Batavia.

Lelystad is an amazing place very close to the Batavia shopping centre 10 min walk, fabulous garden and very friendly staff. Close to zuigerplas bos and Ostervaardsplaasen Ideal for cycling and animals and bird watching. Took a boat ride to new island maarkenwaard. Absolute breath taking. Worth the trip.

We loved, the Idea of coming back on holiday. Enjoy the shopping at the Batavia outlet, play Golf, Enjoy the beautiful nature reserve. We gather they are also lovely restaurants big the waterfront.
Of course enjoy more of this beautiful serene Hotel Huis Van Steen
The location is very good if you are looking to stay near the tulips fields and while traveling by car. The city center is 10-15 minutes by car, but you have a Lild and a very nice restaurant closer. We rented bikes directly with the hotel for a day for 15 eur (they also have electrical ones) and they were very well kept. The cleaning is very good, we came in after they cleaned and you can tell it was desinfected.
Adrie and Dinie were great hosts and their place is perfect. I was cycling through Lelystad and their place was just what I needed. Beautiful bathroom, great shower and a comfy bed! Adrie and Dinie were both very helpful and welcoming as well - can’t recommend their place enough!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. The views of nature in the back was absolutely stunning, the hotel is modern, cozy, clean and very welcoming. My sister and I wanted a relaxed get away and we got just that. The staff was very forthcoming and super nice.
