Great driving drifting school at local test centre, some nice local parks and the new national park at Marker Wadden all worth visiting and enough for a long weekend, otherwise a pleasant modern town.

The room is tiny for 2 people.
The worst: THE BLACKOUT doesn't work. It's wrongly instaled or what? 6 am it's like a sunny day in the room.
45 EUR it's a very very well payed. NEVER MORE THAN THIS.

Lelystad is an interesting town insofar as it is the administrative seat of the province of Flevoland, which is the newest part of the country of the Netherlands. The city was founded in 1967 so it stands in dramatic contrast to the much older cities of the surrounding provinces. For example, Zwolle and Kampen both have buildings dating from the early 1600's. It has a harbor which contains several classic two and three-masted ships, as well as an amazing life-sized replica of a Dutch vessel from the VOC (the Dutch East India Company), named the Batavia.

Lelystad is an amazing place very close to the Batavia shopping centre 10 min walk, fabulous garden and very friendly staff. Close to zuigerplas bos and Ostervaardsplaasen Ideal for cycling and animals and bird watching. Took a boat ride to new island maarkenwaard. Absolute breath taking. Worth the trip.

We loved, the Idea of coming back on holiday. Enjoy the shopping at the Batavia outlet, play Golf, Enjoy the beautiful nature reserve. We gather they are also lovely restaurants big the waterfront.
Of course enjoy more of this beautiful serene Hotel Huis Van Steen
Unexpectedly, this was one of my best stays in a hotel ever. The hotel is stylish, modern, extremely comfortable, and has amazing facilities (including a self-service 24h shop). The staff is friendly and professional. The views from the hotel are wonderful - especially from the bar on the 16th floor. Even the smell (perfume?) in the beautiful corridors is great. Also, breakfast was delicious.
In short, I went there for 1 work-related night, but I will definitely return for a holiday stay!
It is a cozy BnB in Lelystad. It’s very near the city center, just a few minutes drive. It is surrounded by a vast field. It’s in a sort of an industrial area but it was very quiet it didn’t impact the whole feeling of the peacefulness of the bed and breakfast. There’s parking space too at the BnB itself. The breakfast was amaaazing! Very generous! And the host and staff are very friendlyy!! Highly recommended to stay here. Thank you very much, our stay had nothing been but great!!
Lovely clean floating caravan based in a marina, with a good public beach 10 min walk away. There’s a great restaurant on site and a cafe on the beach. A cycle path along the waterfront takes you to Lelystad, the Batavia Wharf and outlet village in 20 minutes, and the Oostvaardesplassen nature reserve in 40 minutes. We loved watching the grebes build their nests through the floor to ceiling windows.
The location is great because it is very close to the city centre and also to the train station - 5 minutes walk.
The room was very large and comfy and it was also clean. The bathtoom was also great and very clean.
The lounge area is great and it has very good wifi.
This is a small hotel with 3 rooms. However, the room is in well maintained condition will full kitchen facilities. There are even peacock on site with a large horse ranch. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay here.
Lovely accommodation. Nice location, very comfortable and clean. Kitchenette is very well provisioned and has everything you need for a holiday. Bathroom is exceptional and worthy of a five star hotel.
This was my third stay, because I occasionally need to be in Lelystad two days in a row. The fact that I keep coming back to the same B&B says enough, doesn't it? :-)
