It had been 10 years for my girlfriend to visit the Netherlands. So I wanted some place special for her to adept and us to be together the first days. And oh my... it was special. Very nice located with all green around. Ducks and Swans around, beautiful surrounding with stunning statues and greek atmosphere. I was just great to walk around.
The inside was great, very cosy and a open fire in the middle. We loved it as well as the look and feel. Very nice and appreciated.

Rooms were nice and clean. We also got rooms that were closer as we were big group of people. Staff was friendly and cooperative. Restaurent served amazing food. We really enjoyed our meal there, the quality of dishes served was above par.
There is a train station next to the Hotel and Amsterdam central station can be reached in 30 mins.

This place is very central 20 min away from Amsterdam Airport and 30 from Amsterdam City. Nice small bars and good restaurants and coffee shops. Little shopping streets. 30 min away from larger cities and bang in the middle of the flowering fields. Close to the sea side with many fish restaurants.

All in all Hillegom was a quaint little town, the locals were very pleasant but unfortunately for our purpose of travel was not suitable and that is the only reason I would not recommend it, however I have heard that when the flowers a blooming it is lovely. If like us you are wanting to see the main city more then it is really to far away.
It was an overall amazing experience, it's a family owned hotel and you can feel that, everyone is really nice and willing to help, one of the best places where I have stayed. For the tulip seasons it's a no brainer, you can rent a bike and look at the beautiful surroundings and get to Koekenhof in less than 15 minutes. Just an amazing experience!
P.D. if you eat there you have to try the spare ribs, they were absolutely delicious
It is a lovely room. Comfortable, clean and spacious with views of the tulip fields. Nicole is a great host. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful and will make you feel at home. The area is very quiet and safe and it's a short, easy walk from Hillegom train station. You can also walk in to town in 10 minutes or so. An ideal base to explore Keukenhof, Haarlem, Amsterdam and beyond.
All was great, owners are really friendly, close to train station, available parking, close to Keukenhof (10mins car) and restaurants/supermarkets in Hillegom are 5mins by car. Toaster and microwave were not available, otherwise the kitchen is fully equipped. Toiletries provided and also coffee, tea, sugar plus a bottle of wine extra
not much, it is a peculiar building with tiny rooms and you are in constant danger to bump your head as the rooms are in the attic. The shower is Asian style, flat floor with no barrier towards the toilet.
Breakfast was good and the proprietors super friendly.
The place is a BnB at best but does not deserve the title “Hotel”
It was very quaint, clean, comfortable and in a great area. The woman at the front desk was very helpful, called a taxi when we needed. Held our luggage for us. The area around the hotel is so cute. Love all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was great! And gluten free bread! Amazing
Stayed at Hotel Villa Flora for one night to be close to Keukenhof. It had its own parking which was very small, for 10 cars maybe. And we were lucky to arrive at the time someone was leaving so we took their space (kojak!). Beds were somewhat comfy, meeting a 3* hotel rating.
Nice small hotel relatively close to Keukenhof gardens (5 km or 20 mins by bicycle). There is a restaurant in the building, where you can have dinner. The breakfast was nice too.
There is a cage outside where you can lock your bicycles.
I have stayed at this hotel before, and knew that all aspects met my requirements. The hotel staff are most helpful, everything is nice about the hotel including the town it is in. I would recommend it to anyone.
the location was excellent, our room was very comfortable, the included breakfast was very good, the lunches and dinners available at the hotel's restaurant were outstanding, and the hotel staff were great!
The rooms were nice enough and the breakfast was nice, although an open buffet where we saw a lady coughing everywhere whilst choosing her breakfast! The man of the hotel was very friendly and helpful.
Really nice restaurant in hotel. the rooms were clean and good size. Had a balcony with table and chairs and a view. Very small cute town a great place to refresh and enjoy a quaint little town.
Hotel is located in a small town and the hotel is in the center which a restaurant on the ground floor.
I got up early, and had to miss breakfast;(
The staff was friendly and the room clean
Dissent place for one night stay, nice breakfast, free parking place next to the hotel or on the street. Located in a quiet area, in a short drive from Keukenhof/Castlefest.
Lovely hotel, close to Keukenhof Gardens. The room was perfectly comfortable and well worth the price. I will definitely come back again when I’m in the area.
The location was ideal for anyone visiting the tulip fields. Hillegom was easily accessible for restaurants. The room was clean. Breakfast was very good.
