The rooms were pleasant and it included Air Con which is a must for me. The Restaurant was excellent and very well managed. I had steak and Veg, then went back for lunch before going to the Airport, again excellent. and not too expensive. just right.

The most amazing stay! Edith & Alexander are the most welcoming hosts, made our stay very enjoyable.
The breakfast bought to our room was delicious and so well presented.
Chickens and giant bunny rabbits were a lovely unexpected treat :)
Use of the extra garden and hot tub was perfect for us after a busy few days travelling.
The neighbourhood is beautiful, we walked around in the evening.
The room and bathroom is exceptionally clean and the bed super comfortable!

Location was amazing. Possibility go for a walk with dog anywhere you want to go. Every single walk was different. Birds are anywhere you look, It is like a paradise if you are not used to seeing countriside like that and listening singing birds on every single step.
We are modest people so we were satisfied how our cottage looked like. We found everything we needed inside.
Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar is located a short walk from the city centre. The train station is nearby, just as the Kaasmarkt, shops and the Stedelijk Museum. The hotel rooms have a bath, TV and minibar.
I did not have breakfast this time, but the restaurant is fantastic. They also do wonderful cakes!
