The location is absolutely delightful with the bird's eye view of the city and such close walking distance from the train station and harbor. All the staff that we interacted with very more than welcoming and made certain that we had everything that we needed. Fascinating place, with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. The town houses the Zuiderzee Museum, which is well worth a visit. The town centre is very picturesque with old renovated houses. We took our bikes and used them a lot whilst there, but walking is perfectly feasible.

Very much still a vibrant living town but beautifully preserved too
Cycling or walking north along the dyke gives great views of the water on one side and into the local agriculture and way of life on the land side
The passenger ferry across the IJsselmeer gives a gentle day out to Friesland

It is a quaint town!
It is a quaint town! For museum-lovers Enkhuizen houses a cultural museum of old Holland. The old town is bordered by dikes and the Suyder Sea; so finding one's way down-town is easy . I enjoyed walking around and had several good meals. The "tijdloos" restaurant is worthwhile visiting with friends as they serve interesting small portion dishes and you can spend a couple of hours enjoying good food.

We really enjoyed Enkhuizen.
We really enjoyed Enkhuizen. The fish restaurant near the water was brilliant. Friendly people. An interesting village to wander about. The boats were interesting to look at. We highly recommend Enkhuizen. There are also lovely villages to visit nearby.
Very friendly people at the reception, they did everything to make me feel welcome and how I could improve my stay (and advice on my journey as well). The hotel is a fine mix between cozy / stylish and the location is superb, my single room was very spacious and clean (the Pink room is what they called it I believe, because of a stylish dark pink wall I'd say :)). Step outside and you're in walking distance of many bars and beautiful parts of Enkhuizen. If there's a room in this hotel I'd like to visit again another time.
Gorgeous little apartment which has anything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Oscar and Ciska are the loveliest people. Carrying our bags to the apartment and bringing us breakfast every day (which was yummy and well presented!). They are kind and chatty and made sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality was very much appreciated and really topped off our visit to Enkhuizen. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future.
Tulpenhuis and Enkhuizen are brilliant! 3 good-sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus downstairs WC, well-equipped kitchen, sitting room and dining area all plenty of room for our group of 5 (3 adults and 2 teenagers). Everything worked really well, and Marius our host was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. We'd recommend renting bikes and cycling along the coast on a summer's day.
It was special to stay in a traditional house, these houses do not lend themselves to being converted into en suite facilities. There was plenty of space however. It was particularly lovely to be invited to use their garden. The breakfast was very generous. The house is very conveniently located near to the centre of Enkhuizen.
We really liked the breakfast. Appreciated the way breakfast was presented and the daily variation. The location was central and interesting. It was pleasant to sit outside on the deck of the boat during the day and evenings. Enkhuizen is an interesting and relaxing town to stay in.
Very friendly and obliging family-run hotel in a great location over-looking the river. Close enough to walk to the train station, even for older people pulling bags. Great breakfasts, bar/lounge area for relaxing at the end of the day and a lovely historic feel.
Unload luggage from car parked on sidewalk. Boat is right behind house/office. Free parking at train station and 5 min lovely return walk. Breakfast hit the spot. Sitting on back deck in setting sun is worth 1 million. Views beat any stuffy hotel
SuyderSee had last minute availability for us and it was a perfect fit for our family! The staff were so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The morning breakfast was perfect. We would stay again!
We spent a comfy night with my family in the room. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was hearty. Also, the hotel is located close to the city center which is very convenient to visit the beautiful city of Enkhuizen.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Option of an omelette or sunny side up not a feature in many Dutch hotels, breakfast above expectations. Old style mini bar with small drinks a great touch.
The helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too difficult - from laundry to baggage storage - excellent. The location as it is in the centre of Enkhuizen - close to everything. The breakfast was excellent.
Perfect place for a visit to the town and excellent location for tour by bycicle as well. Breakfast was lavish and the hotel room, though a bit small, was perfectly organised.
