I loved the beach, it was clean, you have plenty sand space, I mean, this beach will never be crowded because the distance from where the sand starts until where the water is is very long.
Help yourself on one of the traditional fried fish restaurants by the seaside, you won't regret.

A small coastal resort outside Alkmaar. Good coast walks and Alkmaar provides the local City to visit and rail transfer facilities to north south and west. We rode the trains to Enkhuisen via Hoorn. Enough bars and restaurants but I guess it would be very busy in the summer months. The local people were great and keen to talk to us which was good.

Very compact restaurant shopping area with an excellent beach. Very busy during tourist season which might tread on the tranquility aspect that it offers offseason.
Beautiful spot to leave the car in the driveway and be a local.
We stayed in the third floor room at La Chatelaine. The view is lovely, the room itself is charming and comfortable. We loved the decor, and the kitchen was well supplied and easy to clean up after ourselves. It was a quick walk to the beach, (and there's brushes to clean off the sand when you get back). It's also close to the main street, with shopping and food. We drove a car to Egmond an Zee and were able to park not too far from the house. Lovely spot and the owner speaks excellent English!
Location is good. Train ride from Amsterdam for about 30-40 minutes followed by a bus ride from Alkmaar station for about 20-30 minutes. Bus stop is 1 minute walk from the hotel. Beachfront is about 5 minute walk. Food at restaurant is good. Facilities are great - there is a swimming pool (indoor) with sauna (additional charge). Breakfast was extensive as well. Staff were pleasant all the time. Check in and cheek out times are strict.
Lovely little house, nicely furnished and well equipped kitchen. Quite cozy. The yard is surrounded by high fences which gives you a sense of privacy and was perfect to let the dog roam. Good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center. We did not meet the landlord in person but communication prior to arrival was good and getting the keys was easy. Would certainly stay here again if back in Egmond aan Zee.
The owners of the Zandtaart - Margriet and Koos - are going for the extra mile. The breakfast is fabulous. Fresh bread rolls, eggs, cold cuts and daily a surprise. The rooms are clean with their own sink. Plenty of outlets to charge your phone, tablet and laptop all at the same time. Free wifi of course. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach.
The atmosphere is very nice. We certainly can recommend the Zandtaart.
It’s was an awesome spot… we loved walking thru the stores and by the restaurants to the beach. The beaches were ‘WOW’! The owners were so wonderful and the breakfast was super yummy.

Very beautifully decorated and spacious. We had a bright room on the first floor facing the main road and it was so wonderful. There was also a lovely kitchenette and a very large bathroom. Super clean!
This was a lovely stay.
The house is tiny but very well organised.
And you can get everything or go everywhere in a short walk.
We really appreciated to be able to arrive late at night on Thursday, this flexibility saved us a whole day on Friday to enjoy the beach and its great restaurants.
In short: a perfect Easter weekend. As on top of it, we had quite some luck with the weather.
Very clean and beautifully furnished and designed accommodation with very nice hosts. Egmond aan Zee is also a really nice place with a huge beach, well-kept old and modern houses, lighthouse, shopping street, restaurants, supermarket, etc. It doesn't always have to be Domburg. A dune walk is also highly recommended!
Excellent location in quiet area but just in front of the seaside; very helpful and welcoming staff; our room was spacey and comfortable; breakfast was nice and sufficient with gluten free rolls provided.
Perfect location for bike trips in the area (the dunes on the way toward Bergen were just amazing).
Very nice and cosy appartement with great seaview. Although the building is rather old and not so nice from the outside, it is well located. Only few steps to sea and little town.

The location was good. About 100 meters to the beach. Great fun for our dog as well. Boutiques, market and Jumbo also nearby.

Nice little B&B close to everything in Egmond aan Zee. The owners are super likeable and helpful. A good breakfast will be served in your room. Although I am an absolute meat eater, the vegan breakfast was delicious.
Such a nice beach apt! Just a block from the beach. The home has everything you could ever need. The decor is fab. It's spotlessly clean. And there was even a bed and bowls for my dog. 💕
