This is a quaint little place with super friendly staff. Very accommodating! The location is perfect for the beach, shopping and dining. Everything is in walking distance. Breakfast was nice with a buffet that offered all the basic breakfast items. The bread and buns were delicious. The view over the dunes was also nice.

Loved this hotel, location excellent, room comfortable, very good modern bathroom with excellent walk-in shower. No restaurant but plenty nearby. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed in this trip.....and there were 10 of them. Served by charming friendly lady. Would stay again. Loved Shagen
Callantsoog is a nice little spot. For me it was all about reminiscing seeing we spent numerous family vacations nearly 50 years ago. Some cute little shops and eateries but best were the beach pavilions if you want to dine with an ocean view. Prices are reasonable, considering this is a tourist location.

This hotel is not good value for money.
This hotel is not good value for money. Our room and balcony were not clean. The ventilation didn't work. The lift didn't work.
There were no basic tea/coffee facilities in the room so a morning brew meant a walk down two floors to the restaurant.
The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to the beach - approximately 15 minutes walk.

Callantsoog is my favorite stay since 60 years.
Callantsoog is my favorite stay since 60 years. I love the beach with all its activities, the sourroundings and small cities. Must do is: Friesenmarkt in Schagen, Käsemarkt in Alkmaar, Kunstmarkt in Bergen.
Wandering by bike or by feet in the dunes of Schoorl, Bergen, Den Helder.
The place was lovely, even if there is no extraordinary view, the place itself is nice enough. There is a huge parking place right in front of the hotel. The breakfast room was pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. The pool and whirlpool was nice, even if a bit colder than we would expect. The room we had was really nice, cozy, but big enough, with chairs and armchairs, I liked also the pictures of the beach on the walls and of the lighthouse on the bathroom door.
Great hospitality from the staff as they took my requests into consideration. the room is spacious and clean and the breakfast was super. During the day there is a restaurant working on the hotel entrance floor with good value for money.
