the area between Breukelen and Maarsen and south to Slot Zuylen is perfect for cyclists - plenty of great restaurants and spectacular views and lovely trails on both sides of the river. A short excursion west to de Haar castle highly recommended.
The building and it's rooms are beautiful, nicely decorated and well maintained. The original and classical furniture is beautiful, the contemporary beds sleep well. It is obvious that the owner(s) did pay a lot of attention in making the old country house a blissful place Even the bathrooms are comfortable and charming. (Continental) breakfast is great. Service is wonderful. The surroundings (garden) is lovely, the neighbouring restaurant is very good. Definitely recommended for one or more nights.
I went there expecting a run-of-the-mill chain hotel but was greeted by a high-end hotel that was far more luxurious than I has anticipated! The restaurant is large and beautifully decorated, and the wait staff couldn't have been friendlier and more attentive. Likewise, the breakfast buffet was huge with tons of choice. The room was very comfortable and had plenty of space. Also, I really liked that the hotel is eco-conscious in terms of its toiletry & housekeeping choices. All round a great stay!
It's a very clean hotel near Amsterdam (almost 30 min until city center by car or 15 min until Arena P + R) with all the facilities (hair dryer, towels, soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, body cream etc.). The furniture is new and the bed comfortable. We made a reservation for the pool, which is free. There are a lot of parking places and they are free. The breakfast is 20 euros, very nice, various and enough. Good coffee. I really recomend this hotel.
-Location was perfect in a quite place beside the river and marina boats. Breukelen is a lovely town where all services and shops near to us. We were in middle between Utrecht and Amsterdam.
-The kitchen was full with equipment we needed.
-The property host was very helpful and she guide us well to easiest way to explore the country and the better way to use the transport.
This has to be one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. It was comfortable and so quiet.
We didn't notice the other guests other than at breakfast times. Beds were comfortable and the room was large and cozy.
Breakfast was great as well and the staff was very nice and helpful.
It's so quiet and relaxing to stay here. A very romantic place.
We enjoyed this lovely 18th century home - even though the hot weather made the unairconditioned room uncomfortably warm. Fortunately a good fan was provided. Most local restaurants are closed on Mondays, but we enjoyed eating our take-away meal at the picnic table beside the river Vecht.
Spacious apartment with really nice views over the fields on one side and the canal on the other. Very quiet. Good, well equipped kitchen. Good wifi. A bit remote, but not a problem for us as we had a car (the village, with shops and restaurants is about 5 minutes' drive away).
Mart's place is absolutely amazing, very comfortable, clean and modern. We felt very welcomed. Mart is so friendly and helpful. We loved everything. The B&B is also very near Amsterdam. It takes half an hour with the car to go to the city center. Definitely recommend!
The property was absolutely beautiful, the room was great, very clean and equipped. We rented two paddleboards and enjoyed 2 hours on the river Vecht, which was one of the facilities we booked this hotel for. Overall it was a nice getaway.
Hotel is set in such a beautiful setting. Just outside a very small town with a few great restaurants. The room was beautiful, the windows overlooking the property were beautiful and the shower incredible. Can rent bicycles from hotel.
Great place, beautiful building and gardens. Very friendly staff and willing to help.
Close to Amsterdam, you can easily pay a visit and experience the busy city life and come back to the peaceful surroundings of Flora Batava.
Lovely rural setting integrated in small yacht club. Excellent restaurant on site. Rental boats at walking distance. Host very responsive to all inquiries. Gated parking on site. Utrecht only 20 minute drive.
Beautiful hotel and room in an amazing location close to a river. The garden area towards the water was stunning. Staff were great and we were able to hire E-bikes from them which were of good quality too.
Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Close to the motorway exit (quick access to Amsterdam). Nice and spacious room, spotlessly clean. Tasty breakfasts and above all very nice owners :)
