The female owner is really friendly and provided helpful hints where to have dinner nearby or where to go out for a walk. We got a map of the "Loonse en Drunense Duinen", a natural reserve which is worth a visit. At a Sunday or national holiday, however, it is recommendable to arrive up to 10 am because because both biker and liker are fond of these area. "Hoeve de Mertel" has a small shop where own products and cheese from local producers are sold.

The comfort of the room, the high ceiling and big windows, and the view onto the courtyard of the old Fort Isabella. Very stylish and chic interior, and the bathroom with shower and separate toilet with upscale tiles. All very fine.

Great stay with very thoughtful and friendly staff Stayed with our daughter of 1 year and it went perfect. Got the room closest to the microwave which was helpful, babybed already installed. At breakfast in the morning a babychair was also already installed. Small things but you dont see that often :)
