Very nice hotel close to the city centre of Roermond. The hotel used to be the local prison, which was rebuild into a hotel. They did a very nice job in respecting the old building. The rooms are build in and divided over multiple "old" cells. Clean and large rooms with a good bed, bathroom and work area. Friendly staff.
The restaurant is supposed to be very good but it was completely booked for the evening. Bar is good and a nice outside sitting area. Did not use the breakfast. Parking next to the hotel.

With the Christmas tree still in common room and the squirrels playing outside you feel very privileged staying here.
Coffee and tea are free and if you are a wine lover, please let the host know: he is a certified sommelier and he serves beautiful wines - also with their story!
