Kanimambo lodge is run by a lovely couple, who were warm and welcoming during our visit. They have 5 small dogs who were lovely to visit with as well.
The owner arranged a private boat to transport us from Maputo to Inhaca island, and picked us up from the beach. This was an affordable alternative to taking the public ferry to the island.
The lodge was quiet and we were the only guests for the 2 nights we were there. The room was comfortable and spacious. The water was hot! The lodge provided breakfast and dinner each day, and I enjoyed the food.
We went on a couple of excursions organized by the lodge and they were enjoyable and reasonably priced.
This lodge would be perfect for travelers who like to spend time doing quiet activities, like reading and watching the sunrise/sunset. It was a great value for the cost.

This is a place to go when you need to rest and rejuvenate. The resort is serene. The low number (10) of chalets at the resort make is very private and the service is great. The staff is ready and excited to help. The food is good.
The thicket make the chalets almost hidden from each other. There is no noise at then resort so you can hear the ocean waves 24/7. The view to the ocean is beautiful. The stairway from the beach to the chalets and everything in between helps with some physical exercise 😁 though its painful 😣.
