Overall the place is fine, if a little run-down. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was big and a great view from the balcony. The private beach was nice but not exceptional. Same can be said for the breakfast/other food in the restaurant. Compared to the price it didn't really meet our expectations.

It was a perfect little beach chalet. Our door opened right out onto the beach so we had a great view. The staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was tasty and with decent portion sizes. There were also other restaurants and some beach bars just a short walk along the beach.
The chalet itself was basic but clean with a comfy bed. If you're looking for a simple and relaxed place to stay on Perhentian then this is the place to go.

I really wish we would stayed longer.
I really wish we would stayed longer. It is a paradise island. Clear and clean water, good sandy beach. Marine life is amazing and as for the snorkelling, I think it was one of the best I have ever had

We fell in love with the Perhentians.
We fell in love with the Perhentians. It was far better than we imagined. Long Beach was quiet during the day but had an atmosphere at night. Locals were friendly and welcoming. Fantastic snorkelling.

Perhentian Islands have beautiful beaches with rocky out crops secluded bays and great snorkling. Super relaxed atmosphere, lots of yummy places to eat and drink and very friendly people. If you haven't got the energy to hike over the enormous hills to the other side of the Island you can always find a water taxi close by which are pretty cheap.
Probably would try and avoid the Islands in June and July if you don't like crowds and also try and avoid the little jelly fish that are around certain times of the year which can make you super itchy!!!

Perhentian is truly one of the best island here. Its not luxe but it is a gem.
The water is beautiful and the sea life is abundant. You can see hundred of fishes just from the jetty alone. Diving is great but take into account the weather.
Food takes a lot longer as its just the island way so you'll need to account for that if you're planning your meal.
Respect the culture and ppl and they will do the same. The cheap accommodation options are reflective of the price you pay.

Thin walls, could hear the neighbours. Make sure you specify the view you want. The view from my cabin was onto the back of the main restaurant/admin building. The restaurant food was very good and the staff efficient.

It is an amazing place!
It is an amazing place! The water is beautiful and there are lot’s of great beaches on both islands. You most try snorkeling in some areas. You can rent mask and snorkle everywhere on the islands, and even go for a boat tour that takes you to the best spots. You can also hire a taxi boat to go to any beaches, or travel between the 2 main islands in 10-15 rides.
We saw some poeple bring their own alcohol and water on the island, as it is always cheaper to bring your own. Sun block protection is very expensive on the island. Bring your own!

I would like the service from owner AB name AYAH...so kindfull , chalet owner invited with my family with a big ferry from jety besar to kuala besut ..a very best experience while going snorkeling fishing and patrolling the islands,chalet very comfortable clean and best price,easy to find food and necessities of various food stores and grocery stores...surely Will repeat again ...🥰🥰
This is absolutely the place to be in the Perhentian Island of Besar. Right next to the beach and surrounded by other services, their food is the best on all the island. Their tempura squid, fish and wide selection of rice with sauces are extraordinary and the staff couldn't be friendlier. We felt like at home and they became part of our family. They are the best on the whole island!

(I don’t understand previous reviews where people complain that this resort isn’t close to long beach….don’t they look up where the place is before booking??) so, this place is not on long beach as the map shows.

Very nice beach and friendly staff, just the right place one needs for an amazing quiet seaside vacation. Nice scenery, warm sea, walkable distances from all the other hotels and island beaches. Staff people are very helpful and always nice to communicate with. Rooms are good and have all commodities.
It is like a joke to rate this hotel if we can name it hotel. The property has nothing even a person to vacuum the room. Dirty bed sheet, toilet like a shit. Nothing in the rooms and no one responsible about anything. If you want to ruin your vacation it is the best choice.
Nice stuff, good breakfast, good location no send flies, but mosquitoes. The manager was very helpful, my phone died and he helped me to arrange several things on his computer. I’ll definitely will come back on my next trip to Parhential islands.

I would like to say big thanks to the hotel staff! All of them so kind and friendly. They treat the guests very well. Location is very convenient and connect to the boat station. The facilities is okay and food is good.
Diving was great thank to hussain ( sorry if i forgot the name but remember he is from Jordan) and for hotel Faraa from reception just amazing very friendly and helpful other team also all friendly and helpful too.
The location very close to Long Beach is really nice, the walk isn’t as bad as some others are reviewing. The guys help carrying your luggage which is really helpful. Very nice view from the balcony.
The location is on a very nice beach, where you can se turtles, little sharks and rays just swimming in front of the hotel. We had a room with sea view which was very nice. breakfast is ok.
