Location wise excellent coz its nearby to many eateries, and also theres a mall too. But didnt bother check it out. Room was very clean and well furnished. Good bedding fittings, room was cleaned oftenly. Free flow of bottled water. Breakfast buffet was just ok for me in terms of variety and tastewise. Plenty of parking lot surrounding the hotel.

There was nothing we did not like about the beach and the surrounding facilities. During the stay at the hotel, my kids enjoyed the beach activities and water sports.Despite strong currents, the beach was pretty clean.
There was a wide selection of foods available catering to a variety of ethnicities.
Guest service was excellent at the hotel.
The overall experience was positive, and the trip will be remembered fondly.

Excellent location to spend time with family, especially the beaches. The strong tides made it even more enjoyable. It was possible to fully view the ocean due to the absence of obstructions in addition to the blue waters of the south China sea.

Driving there from Senai is good with the nice view of the bridge.
There are small township not too far away from the Desaru Coast area, so u can still get cheaper n more varieties of food n necessities there instead of limiting urself to eat in the hotel.
Cycling is good around the area, less car n good challenging route, so bring your road bike next time.
Food at tge Restoran Nelayan is good, food within Westin is superb.

The public beach was outstanding.
The public beach was outstanding. Totally glad to pay the RM8.00 for the parking as it obviously went to maintaining the toilets and wash-up facilities. There was lots of clean water at good pressure to clean up properly. The beach has always been long, wide and beautiful. And it was totally rubbish free, which was very welcome. Definitely worth visiting just for the beach alone. Loved the thundering waves hitting the sand, and foaming around you.
A short ride down from the public beach are the restaurants at the tip of Sungei Rengit. We tried Restoran Sin Kong - local lobster & crab - very fresh but the cooking style not so good. The seafood was a bit overcooked. And the chili crab sauce wasn't tasty. The steamed variety with egg white and chinese wine was pretty superb on the other hand. The seafood fried rice was very good, with tender seafood bits and good wok hei. The lemon chicken was so-so, but I guess we just had too much food ordered. There was a Restoran You Kee opposite but we didn't see many people there so I don't know if it's good. The most famous of all is Jade Garden Seafood Corner. But it was closed on Mon, and we didn't get to relive our seafood fantasies from the last visit 2 years ago.

I think this is a good escape place for loners of just a quick trip. I would come here alone if i need to unwind.
I even slept at the lounger by the pool. It is not crowded.
They said it is fully booked but the hotel seems to be 25% occupied.
The best thing about this unit is the location since it's very near to a small mall, restaurants, and convenience stores. It has a pool which is open till night and a gym. The public beach (Desaru) is just 15 minutes drive away. But when we went there, it closed. We had to travel to Tanjung Balau. The unit that I had was also very clean and got all necessities that my family need except for the water dispenser. Probably the owner can put one water dispenser :) Overall I and my family had a good time over there.
The hotel facilities were nice even though facilities were old. The beds were comfy. Hotel located beside desaru beach and has may beach activities. It also has small water park and swimming pools which my kids like. It also has nice bar like live singing during our dinner and after our dinner there was a nice singing and dancing prentation on a small field. We enjoy and relax in the hotel and did not go outside during our short stay.
The Family Room is very spacious. Kids love the tent! Hotel is new, well maintained and extremely clean. Exemplary customer service from the hotel staff. We extended our stay after one night as we really loved the place! Great location too! Plenty of shops within walking distance for food and groceries.
I liked that the room was spotless clean. It smelt nice and the beds were very comfortable. We were given extra pillows and they were comfortable too. There were many shops surrounding this hotel and ample parking space available. It is just around 10 minutes drive to the famous Desaru beach too.

Lots of activities to do. First night we were there, there was aerobics/dancing at the field. Lots of fun. Nice beach. Good food. Everything you need in one place. You don’t even need to go out. Loved the water park too. A simple one, but still lots of fun.
Excellent and comfortable room, incredibly clean with nice decor! Like the breakfast but missed the buffet dinner this time around. Will try out in future visit. Impressive overall experience offered by this new Hotel in Desaru at reasonable price!

Hard Rock Hotel was fabulous, smooth check-in, friendly staff, spacious room, delicious breakfast and dinner. My kids enjoyed their play time at Roxity kids club so much and so we were with their live band. It was a fantastic stay!
Located in the heart of Desaru, Bandar Penawar, not too far from Desaru Coast and main hiway, easy to get manoeuvres around the area. There were lots of restaurants, sundry shops, and laundry, and it was very convenient

Big spacious room and got upgraded to high floor with lovely view of theme park. No direct access to beach but took the buggy to Westin, next door to go to beach. Very nice beach.

The location is strategic for other tourist from outside Johor to stay. The best thing is we can just walk to the beach due to its very near to the hotel.
