It was fun staying in the long wooden house that belongs to a Kelabit family. The concept of the longhouse whereby family members stay in one huge house with private family units seem to be quite practical. The house surrounded with rice fields and peaceful natural surroundings is just what people who come from the packed cities are looking for. The streams have clear water and great for splashing. The town is very tiny but surprisingly there is a museum just besides a row of shops. We visited the primary school and was warmly greeted by the head master. Other Kelabits that we met were also friendly. The pupils of the school enjoyed our mathematics program. We hope to come again.
