Beautiful spot even though we needed to use the Bus most days. Great having use of the ferry though.
The Hotel was lovely. The pool choice was perfect as it suited everyone and was never crowded. The pool bar staff were very friendly and worked in our opinion very hard. Restaurant staff were wonderful and it was spotless. Lovely choice of fresh food.
Offering a rooftop pool, a spa, and 3 restaurants, Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is set in the hillside village of Mellieha, 1 km from Malta’s largest beach. It boasts panoramic sea and country views.

The hotel offers amenities to have a shower after the checkout, allowing guests to enjoy their last day at the beach or swimming pool and take a shower to refresh before their flights. I found this super helpful. The air conditioner works well and the mini-bar in the room is a must and they offer it. The distance from the beach is indeed 1.1km but it is a veeeery steep hill.
Solana Hotel offers modern rooms and studios with free Wi-Fi access, a 10-minute walk from the beach on Mellieha Bay. The rooftop terrace with pool is a real highlight.

I had an issue with my room not being the one shown in the photo, a misunderstanding, which was very disappointing , so had to stay just the one night in given room, but the next night we spent in the other deluxe suite, beautiful, but warm, do beware, staff got us a large plug in ac unit, which did the trick. Any issues we had,the staff bent over backwards to make it right. Lovely hotel, just a few things that need to brought up to date in places, but they're in the middle of renovating in places. The staff thoughout the hotel, are very friendly. A tip though, I would definatly make sure staff are around to stop people 'saving' sun loungers, one group of young people saved nearly 7 of them on a daily basis and didn't come back for hours. Not on , as so many people were without a bed and wanted to lay there, very selfish. There is a nice buzz l/ atmosphere in the hotel, we have visited many times, and will be back.

The location is very convenient and easy to reach and go to some of amazing spots of that part of the island. Also the apartment is fantastic with a huge terrace and views. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Neither the beach or the town is particularly nice, the separation between them means either a hot walk up hill or bus or hire car. The beach has very few refreshment options or other facilities.
The church and WW2 tunnels are interesting but the rest of the town is not attractive. The food in Gems restaurant is great and a wide choice.

Lovely sandy beach.
Lovely sandy beach. Great choice of restaurants and lovely food. Buses to Valletta, Sliema, the airport and the port for the Hozo ferry. The church and World War 2 tunnels are definitely worth a visit. Walk to Popeye Village in 30 minutes.

Love the area, great restaurants (Wagu was our favourite). Theres so much to see and do without the hustle of tourists. Took a 10 min taxi to Golden Bay beach for a hike, you are pretty central to everything. Lovely shops and definitely take a stroll to Sea View Cafe, stunning views with good food and a happy hour.

It’s a quiet town with a reasonable amount of pubs and restaurants. It’s a good base to stay but we went to different places each day. There isn’t enough to keep you busy for a full week if you like to do things on holidays.

We went in the off season (mid April) so the area was quiet and it was easy to get a restaurant, although on the other hand many restaurants were very dead with only 1 or 2 groups inside. The weather was good although very windy, good enough to sit on the beach but not sunbathe or swim. The town was very pretty, it's nice to take a walk up the hill and see the views and older buildings.
We would recommend Blu Club, Amami, and the mellieha heights area at the top of the hill.

Mellieha is a beautiful calm and small town which makes it perfect if you want to avoid crowded cities with a lot of traffic and mass tourism. Climb up the hill and you'll have a fantastic sight onto the bay nearby. the upper town has also beautiful narrow streets and typical houses to see. Not that easy to travel in Malta in general, due to some public transport issues. If I went again, I would avoid long displacements across the island, I would just visit the places nearby. If you are in the northern part and want to have a dayout to the southern Malta, it make take you 4-5 hours go/back with public transport. To avoid the stress and the frustration, stay and visit the places nearby. It's a good excuse to go again and visit the places you missed before!!
Such an amazing long weekend break at LURE Hotel and Spa ⛲✨🇲🇹 The owner and staff went above and beyond the entire weekend - never had better hospitality in Malta 💜 Absolutely top notch. Boutique, stylish, personable, ultra modern rooms, beautiful spa/treatments and overall experience. Highly recommend a visit (and check out their restaurant The Core Restaurant and Lounge and nearby Commando Restaurant 👌) Massive thanks to Alexandra, Mayssa, Jelena, and ofc Malcolm 💜 See you again soon 🤗🥂
Great room with an amazing view of the sea & pool area - very spacious & clean, with daily housekeeping. The food was good with plenty of choice for breakfast & evening meal. All staff seemed to work hard & were always friendly & helpful. Hotel is right next to the ferry terminal for Gozo & you can get trips to the Blue Lagoon from there. Buses stop right outside so there's easy access to other parts of Malta including Valletta & Mdina. Hotel had a nice feel & we enjoyed our stay.
I would recommend anyone visiting Malta to stay here. We stayed on he 8th floor in the new building the other side of the road and our room was perfect with huge new bathroom and deep balcony. Breakfast was solid. Spotless hotel. The garden pool area was beautiful with mature trees/planting. Its the flagship hotel of the town and dead central. The Square gastro bar and Amami restaurant are nearby and are both superb. Very pleasant staff. 10/10
We had a wonderful stay! Nice location near a bus stop plenty of choices for food within the area. Our hosts were delightful! Edwin was very helpful with any questions we had and his wife Tessa kept the property very clean and orderly. Tal-Kampjin is a lovely atmosphere! We enjoyed our time in Mellieha! A relaxed place to have as a base to explore both Malta Island and nearby a short ferry ride to Gozo!
For the price & the fact that this is a 3 star hotel, we absolutely loved it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel has a pool which we didnt end up swimming in because of windy weather. The location is perfect with just five minutes to the bus stop. Our room has a seaview which was just stunning. I would definately choose this hotel again when visiting Malta🫶🏼
The location is ideal for seeing Malta,Comino and Gozo. This hotel caters for people who come by car or rent a car. Parking is free of charge and ample space is available. The choice of food is very good. There are 3 restaurants on the premises and those who like to stay on the resort can book all inclusive and enjoy the animation program.
Location to the Gozo ferry was nice; hotel was 200m from the 41/42 bus line to Valletta, though the 1h15m ride generally takes close to 2h w traffic. The hitel restaurant and lobby were generally loud and busy w many tourists though this was shoulder season (early May). Outside pool was nice and staff generally helpful.
The location is quite good and convenient for travel. The bus stop is 1 minute away. Cleanliness is at an excellent level. The staff is kind and courteous.
I chose this hotel mainly because of the view. This is the most beautiful view in Malta. Gozo and Comino are visible.
The hotel’s location was really good, very closed to Mellieha Bay, there was a bua stop right in front of the hotel where almost all busses stops. It was quite clean. The stuff was very kind and helpful, Ana helped us quickly to upgrade our room <3
My favorite hotel in Malta. Amazing views, excellent service and a true holiday getaway. The rooms are big and are equipped with a kitchenette that includes a microwave. And the beach views are incredible. Great hiking trails all around.
Everything - been a full refurb since we last stayed . A fantastic hotel with very friendly & professional staff .
I love this area of Malta it’s so relaxing & Quiet . Perfect winter break for us . Room , Food , Staff - 10-10
Hotel was amazing, my only criticism was it wasn’t advertised that kids can not use the indoor pool between 1 and 4pm, other than that, everything was perfect, lots of kids activity’s and we had an amazing stay
Eveything in Ghand-in hotel was great. Clean, Maria was very friendly and caring about the guest.the breakfast was exceptonal. For my next trip to malta I will definitly stay there again. Highly recomended.
Luna is one of our favorite hotels in Malta. Reasons being the cleanliness, the location, the friendliness of the staff. We always feel welcome there and we are guaranteed a very pleasant stay.
The hotel is new, modern, comfortable, tastefully decorated and on a quiet street. The room was quite spacious and had a nice balcony. The breakfast was presented nicely and tasty.
The 2 pools were nice and clean and the location of Luna was good. Easy parking outside the complex. Handy to have a mini market and diving centre beside the hotel.
