Very clean and well designed small studio. The facilities and location are perfect for a short stay. The owner was very kind, left a welcome gift and was very helpful and informative. I highly recommend this place and will definitely book again when in Malta.

The best thing about this appatment is clearly the view. Pictures are good but it is another level in real. Very well equiped, you have a place to swim 5 minutes by foot and again : the view. Communication with Howald was perfect as well. Thank you !

Very central, being just off the main Victory Square. Accommodation had all the essentials. Large, comfortable double bed with decent quality linen. Exposed stone walls, for a rustic, aged appearance, very much in keeping with the typical Malta stone buildings. Downstairs quite basic, but it has everything you need. Accommodation is 2 mins walk to the water-taxi (Euro 2) to head over to Valetta and to a bus stop outside the ice cream shop. Just 15-20 mins walk to Rinella Bay, for nearest beach/sea swimming. Very close to the Palaccio Huesca restaurant, which is fantastic, and the Cafe de Brazil, highly recommended for an inexpensive & decent lunch. Under 30 mins from Valetta / approx' 50 mins to Sliema / 20 mins by bus to Marsaxala (great beaches).
Birgu is a great location to stay in Malta. It is full of history with fabulous Churches, Museums (Maritime and War) and right on the waterfront. Getting to Valetta was easy on the 2 euro water taxis in a few minutes and the Barakia Lift takes you directly to the city.

A quieter, more traditional area of Malta where there are fewer bars, restaurants and shops but also fewer tourists so suited us perfectly. Easy transport links from the harbour by bus or water taxi getting you quickly and cheaply to Valletta and other areas of Malta.
Lots of sites to visit within a short walk, Port Angelo, the Inquisitor's Palace and the Malta at War Museum as well as many others.

One of the 3 Cities, Birgu is a beautiful ancient town with charming streets and architecture. There is a lovely waterfront with bars and restaurants. Lots of tour groups during the day but quiet and local at night. Very easy access to Valletta by cute water taxi or ferry, just a 10 minute ride.

Valetta was easily accessed from Birgu on the Ferry but we really fell in love with Birgu itself. Quieter than Valetta but far more authentic and less bustle. Our location meant we could get out and walk through Birgu and had lots of museums, cafes and restaurants, found a lovely Rock & Gem shop. The Marina was very pleasant and excellent food and drink in the Wild West Bar and Grill. The Square will be lovely after the construction work.

Burgu is quaint and charming.
Burgu is quaint and charming. I liked it a lot better than Valetta and definitely better than Silema. I felt like I was in a real Maltese town with the locals. There's a small pastry shop in the square that sells paztizzi for 50 cents and they were amazing. There are several nice restaurants around the square and many small shops throughout the town that sell unique, handcrafted souvenirs. Overall, I loved Birgu.

Loved this spot.
Loved this spot. Easy to get around and great locals so got a real sense of Malta. In the evening we ate around the square. Our favourite restaurants were D’Central and the Vittoriosa gastric pub. And do walk the inner streets of Birgu. Real gems.
